It's a backpacker - that's it, you cannot expect a hotel Also it was the only backpacker I have ever been, I cannot compare. BUT I went there three times and I booked it for a friend once. I booked a room with other people once then I booked a separate room twice

We felt like the grandparents under all these youngsters but was treated with courtesy and respect by all of them. Our room was a double with en suite shower and toilet. We chose Billabong due to the location and price and found to have made the right decision. The first 2 nights we had a room towards the street which...

12-17 March 2017 We stayed at Billabong Backpackers Resort in Perth for 5 nights, the double bunk bed and ensuite were clean enough but basic. Had to tell reception to ask the House Keeper not to leave the balcony doors open for the the whole 12 hours we were out as we were eaten alive upon our return. Washing facilities...

Hi Sara, Many thanks for your feedback. That's a valid point re. the balcony door. I trust this was not an ongoing issue after you informed reception. I believe you stayed in the standard double room which has a queen size bottom bunk and a single top bunk. Like you've noted these are basic and more inline with a dorm...

We arrived at 7am after a long 15 hour bus ride from Coral Bay - we confirmed and paid for our booking and was allowed to put our bags in a store room until we could check in so we could go get some breakfast. Nice friendly guy on check in. We stayed in room 25 . The room itself...

Hi Jassumms, Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm glad you found our staff friendly and the vibe good in the common areas. I've noted your points about the room. We appreciate there are some limitations with our twin and standard rooms so we've priced them accordingly, very close to the price of two beds...

I came back to Aus from South Africa and ended up helping a distressed Italian lady find her boyfriend...Somehow, this little issue got us to Billabong Backpackers. She was reunited with her man and I ended up staying in Perth about 4 days longer than planned. I had such a ball here, great utilities and facility!!! There's a pool and...

Hi Alex, Many thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're aiming for 10/10 cleanliness but I can appreciate in the shared rooms a lot of this is reliant on your roommates. Do not be shy to let us know if anything needs extra attention. Our A/C has buttons on the unit to operate it. If we...

Quite a good place to stay. We stayed 2 nights in a private double standard room. It was ok for a backpack/youth hostel. There is a free breakfast, that's great. A bit far for from the centre (15min walk) or there are buses.

Hi Pietro, Many thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback, it's much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed the free breakfast. Next month we are also introducing a (very) cheap evening group meal so watch out for that! Your right, we're a 5 minute bus ride or a 15 minute walk from the CBD. I hope you had...

Hostel is conveniently located near the east Perth terminal ideal for catching a bus. Smart busy hostel only stayed one night. Room was very spacious had lockers and a lovely en suite. Unfortunately the wifi was only down stairs. Breakfast was also included in the price, would definitely stay again!

We stayed here over several days. Throughout the day the music is overbearingly pumping. And even though there is a noise restriction at night, people were still carrying on into the wee hours. Hi Ivana, Many thanks for your feedback. We are an international backpacker hostel and our main demographic is always going to be young holiday makers. I'd agree - it's important for guests to consider this, and the noise they may create, when choosing to stay with us. With that said, we have successfully hosted families, school groups, sports teams and...
