Bamber is by far one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Clean, cosy and you feel like you're part of a big family which is the main reason I've extended my stay in Auckland! It's in a good location which makes it easier to travel in and out of the city!

We are pleased you enjoyed our homely atmosphere. Mt Eden is a favourite home of Aucklanders as well with it's proximity to the city as well as supermarkets, cafes, banks and restaurants. Off street car-parking is a big bonus as well. We hope to see you again one day.

A comfortable place to stay with great people and helpful managers, Kieran and Ashe! The neighbourhood is lovely, very secure and only a short bus ride from the CBD. Loved staying here and will be back again for sure 🤗

Thanks for your review. My staff really appreciate the feedback. Your comfort is important to us. All our mattresses are hotel grade and innersprung. Likewise we use hotel grade linen and duvet covers. We are just across the road from a bus stop which takes you straight into the city. The combined with off street car parking makes Bamber House...

Bamber House is on the slopes of Mount Eden which is an extinct volcano. It is a short walk away and is a great place to take in awesome city views and watch locals walking their dogs, running or just passing time. It also has huge Maori significance and in an ancient pa site. You can still see the terraces...

Thanks for your review. To be honest not all our bunks are wooden although we are systematically replacing metal with wooden. The cost is about the same for both types of bunk and you can get cheap and nasty in both sorts. We aim to provide a different experience from the big city hostels with more of a New Zealand...

Great place in a nice and safe neighborhood close to Mt Eden where you get an awesome view of the city. A quiet and cosy hostel where it's easy to meet likeminded people, take part in activities and have a good time. We felt welcome immediately, thanks to the amazing management. Free wifi, free parking and a short bus ride...

Thanks for your review. We have tried to create a hostel where people can meet and mingle in a relaxed environment. We are definitely not a party hostel but our guests still manage to enjoy themselves. We are small by Auckland standards with just 50 beds. And of course our staff are the best!

At Bamber House you are just a short bus ride from the city. Parking in Auckland city is difficult to find and expensive so do what the locals do and leave your car at home and get the bus. We have a well equipped kitchen and lots of living areas for you to chill out. our staff are great and...

Thanks for your review. If the weather is good walking into the city is a good option too. You can either go via the Domain which is a large park and home to the Auckland museum of via streets of old shops and houses. Uber is also a popular option especially if there is more than one of you. We...
