We stayed 2 nights with 2 kids. Lots to be happy about.
On arrival we passed a staff member in the car park and they offered to take our bags; overly helpful on the reception desk; problem with the safe (our fault) and they came...More
We've found hotels in New Zealand often lacking in that 5 star experience. We are pleased to report that most certainly isn't the case here . Currently sat in the club lounge sipping a very nice merlot with some mighty fine canapes. We arrived very...More

So last year my family (2A+2C) came to this hotel and loved it so much that we have returned. It's such a beautiful hotel and the staff is super friendly. This time we stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the hotel's eatery/facility more. We have joined...More
First, hotel beds are comfortable. Hard to find sometimes when traveling. Second, location in downtown was close to many things. Food was pricey, but good! Service was average, but overall experience was pleasant!

If you are staying at the hotel after the cruise, I'd suggest a taxi. Not far from the cruise terminal but I wouldn't like to walk with my suitcase as it is uphill. Not very expensive at all for a taxi. The staff at the Millenium are lovely and will look after your travel needs. They recommended a private company for our trip from the airport and it was only slightly over the taxi fare and we arrived in a nice clean shiny BMW with a great driver.
We looked at staying at the Casino and very nearly did but picked up a great rate here a couple of weeks before we left in a Club room. Fantastic as there were many people staying here who were on the same cruise. In fact, we stayed in contact with one through the cruise and after! Room was very comfortable. I would certainly recommend staying here for the price, the fantastic club room food and wine and the staff! Walking distance to many places as well including many restaurants and the Viaduct area.
