Freemans Lodge has a very homely environment and made our Auckland trip a memorable one. Ravi (manager) is an amazing host and very friendly. The lodge is a great value for money and is very clean and tidy. The lodge is also centrally located with free on street parking.

The staff are very friendly, the hostel is very clean cosy and peaceful, in my opinion it is the best backpackers in New Zealand with free high speed fiber wifi, the facilitys are great, there are 2 kitchens, 2 lounges, close to the city. There is a shuttle available 24/7 to the airport.

The staff is very kind, place is quite clean. The manager is very nice and helpful. Although there were some confusions with the booking they got to understand that it was not my fault and fixed the problem.

This hostel was the first in a long trip. In hindsight not the best place I've stayed. The room was clean and beds comfortable, but the atmosphere wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. Communal areas could do with a bit of a touch up. The free unlimited wifi is a bonus though.

Facilities are neither clean nor dirty (could be better but it’s fine). Large and clean double room with several furniture to put our stuffs. Free Unlimited Wifi in Nz is...

Paying just over NZD70 a night for a private twin room, we were overall pleased with our stay. The rooms were warm, showers hot & wifi reliable (& complimentary). However, the beds were really narrow (lucky we weren't any larger). We were out both nights so didn't go into the kitchen/dining area.

We stayed here over a week to prepare our start with our work and travel visa. The place itself is pretty nice, the rooms are clean enough and the bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The kitchen is rather small so it can be full of people specially when it´s dinner time. What I liked the most about this place is the...
