Book in late, yet still a warm welcome and shown to the last room available. A good room on the top floor with a view of the beach from the balcony. Room was compact, but very clean and comfortable. Fully recommend this motel for a comfortable, enjoyable stay

Lovely friendly, helpful hosts, with an excellent attitude to their guests. Spacious rooms with a very comfortable king-size bed and a great shower. Just across the road from a walk-way to a safe swimming and surfing beach.

Just what we were looking for - comfortable, good facilities, separate sleeping area to kitchen area, friendly people, very relaxed and a good price. Loved we could walk across the road to the beach. Very close to our family events, very practical for us.

Staying at the Beachcomber Motel has been fantastic. Conveniently located across the road from the beach and just a nice 15 minute walk along the boardwalk to the city centre. The kitchenette made it even easier for us to prepare our own dinner and breakfast which is great when one needs a change from eating out. The manager on reception...

This is my 4th stay in Gisborne within 12 months and the Beachcomber is by far the best place I've stayed in Gisborne. The owner she is very caring, the view is beautiful, the kitchen facilities are great, nice modern bathroom with fluffy towels and good WiFi. I had a sliding door out onto a shared balcony that looked out...

Nice place, handy for the beach but a bit of a stroll into the centre of town. Nice walk along the beach/boardwalk to get there. Helpful and friendly operator. Rooms nothing special but comfortable and clean. If you go, definitely take the time to drive up the East Cape; stunning scenery. Locals were friendly and it was a nice relaxed...

We stayed here after visiting friends nearby, the motel is in a lovely quiet setting, we had an upstairs room with a beautiful view out to the sea where we watched the sunset. Nice and clean with a lovely big bath, ideal after spending time at the beach.

This the first hotel/motel I have ever stayed at in New Zealand where the owners were genuinely friendly & welcoming. This motel is run like a pro. We were upstairs in a executive studio spa room with a lovely view of the ocean and the beach a short stroll across the lawn. It is located on a very quite street....

We stayed in the suite upstairs facing the ocean. The room was great with a little kitchenette, large fridge and air conditioning. The bed was decent; however, I wouldn't call it a king sized bed as advertised. The internet is provided by 300MB tickets with a limit of 1 per day. I would stay here again!

My wife and i stayed for a wedding here in Gisborne. Loved it. The room was well priced and comfortable. We had a view of the ocean just across the road and the hosts were lovely. Would highly recommend and we were very happy.
