Elegant surroundings, set among mature trees, with well tended garden borders situated with glimpses of the Napier coast through the trees. The menu featured excellently designed selections of local foods. The service was first class and the proprietors and staff were efficient and charming. We will definitely revisit this fine food restaurant.

Amazing place to stay and eat. Definitely not your normal hotel which is a nice change. There chef is amazing and the food was bloody beautiful. If your wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life or renovations (like we were) then this is the place for you.

Fantastic!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the stay here and lodge is beautiful. The lodge is not too far away from Napier, but far enough away to be quite, peaceful and relaxing. It's easy to find and lots of parking available. I highly recommend staying here.

The best and most beautiful accommodation in the wider surroundings of Napier. The hotel is marvelous. The people there as well. We couldn't have booked something better. It felt like a small holiday within our holidays :)

Want to live like the gentry of old? This is the place for you, be the Lord of the Manor! It's a grand wooden building set in a beautifully manicured garden. We slept in a genuine four-poster bed. It was delightful and very comfortable. The room had a spa bath, a very big spa bath - I couldn't keep my...

Stayed at this beautiful 1890's lodge just over the New Years break. Absolutely perfect. Great service, lovely people and a picture perfect property. The dinner of lamb with duck parfait entre and local wines was sensational. Local produce cooked to perfection. Recommend it for a weekend getaway or a stay off the beaten path when making your way north or...

Wow! Our beautifully appointed room lead out onto a terrace that overlooked the grounds - a perfect place to sit and relax. The deep, claw foot bath was a dream to laze in and the best was the best we've ever slept in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our only one suggestion for the Ormlie team would be providing guests...
