7 hot spring baths, and it backs on to a crystal clear flowing stream. We had a hot spring bath and sauna 10 steps from our front and back doors. While the room was a little aged, it was spacious and self-contained, and the bed was so comfortable! A 10min walk into town, and no more than 10min drive to... More

Stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly, the pools were really warm and plentiful, and we were pleased to find tea and coffee, soap and shampoo were complimentary, and restocked. The room we were in turned out to be BYO duvet, and it's just one pillow each, so next time we go... More

My friends and I drove down to Rotorua from Auckland after work on a Friday for the weekend. While we understand that accommodation typically has office hours, it is also standard practice to have a late check-in process. This hotel has no website and when booking through Expedia it says: Check-in time ends at 8pm. Your room will be guaranteed... More

Our group of 5 adults attended a local conference for youth leaders. The location was ideal and we appreciated having hot pools to soak in in the evenings and a good base to return to. We would gladly return given the budget we have. It's not the Ritz, but it's great value for money - just over $20pp per night.... More

My wife and I along with our daughter paid $45 a night and stayed 3 nights. For starters any bad reviews on here appear to be from people who paid $45 a night for a self contained room and expected the Ritz. The room is very dated and has some rough repairs to it; some rooms are close to street... More

This hotel is cheap, but i'd prefer to pay more money than ever stay here again!!. We were looking for a private room and bathroom at very short notice, so at a whim we picked this place. The whole place is very run down and dirty, and the hot pools/sauna (their selling points) were so dirty we didn't want to... More

Husband admitted to Waikato heart problems 2 days prior to booking Cancellation refused - told to cancel online with agent (wotif) who were very helpful. Utuhina staff denied any knowledge of our 2 attempts to cancel by phone and refused to give a credit for future use. We are appalled at their attitude. We wonder how many other people have... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and found the unit was large, clean and comfortable but dated - in saying that though, everything worked :) Hot pools were great, location was pretty good even though we could see the main road from our room, noise levels were pretty good and didnt cause any problems. Only thing I found... More

A little run down but clean and for the price very good. Rooms are large with a well equipped kitchen, there are small shops opposite for most needs and the town center is just a few minutes walk. There is a park with geothermal activity within 400m (free and better than some places which charge) there is also a small... More

Only $40 a night. The dwelling was very old but for the price it felt great and a good change. Nice staff and great thermal pools and hangis included. 2km walk only to the main part of town. Separate rooms within the unit. Nice shower and kitchen facilities
