The hotel is a bit run down. unsure how they can let a hotel get this run down. The fence was falling apart, the door to balcony was held together with heavy duty electrical tape, you could see the steel reinforcement in the concrete coming...More
This motel is located overlooking Rotorua's famous Whakarewarewa geysers. It is very dated and tired but if you are just looking for a bed for the night, it is ok. The towels were very thin but when I asked for more, were given some "fluffier"...More
Very tired hotel needs modernising, wifi only in reception. Our room was fine, very big but the best bit was the wonderful view directly to the mud pools and gerzers. We stared at them for hours! Can't comment on the facilities as we only stayed...More

We found the room very comfortable, and spacious, the staff were great. loved the pool, we didnt have a geyser room, but we still could go around and look or go thru the lounge area. Yes it was a bit dated, but compared to the last place we stayed at it was heavon. We were told we could use the other silver oaks for swimming as they had a warmer pool or think it was mini golf, but we were too busy, the beds were clean and comfortable, shower was lovely, and had seen on some reviews that the breakfast was sparce, but we found there was heaps and it was all lovely
