There is a sense of a former lovely estate house in a very pastoral setting. There are 2 issues. First, it's far from town and activities and requires an expensive cab ride. Second, it is really needing updating and a good cleaning. Many things are in need of attention. All the

We had a great stay at Hamurana. It’s a bit outside of town but that’s why we loved it. Great breakfast each morning and still easy to get in and out of town each day for our excursions. Loved feeding the horses and donkey each morning! Thanks for a great stay!

Rather quaint and characterful hotel, where my wife and I enjoyed a 1-night stay during our recent tour of NZ. The hotel is a little remote from the centre of Rotorua, so there are no restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is set in beautiful grounds and has a

Hi Susan, thank you very much for the enquiry. We are about 15 minutes drive from Rotorua town. Only motels in town centre have the advantage of thermal heated water. Our outdoor swimming pool is heated in summer months, early December to late March. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you need further assistance. Thank you & kind regards, Patrick

Hi there, most of our guests come with their own rental car. Alternatively, taxi can be another option, and we can arrange one to take you back to town on the next day morning. Please don't hesitate to contact us again should you need further assistance. Thank you & kind regards, Patrick

Hi, do you have dining facilities?
Kia Ora, Greetings from Hamurana Lodge. We do not operate a restaurant, however we do have one dine-in option for our in-house guest. It is a Gourmet Platter which consists of a selection of cold meats, cheeses, seafood and breads. The platter must be ordered two hours in advance. Please do not hesitate to ask should you have any further questions. Thank you & kind regards, The Hamurana team
