After being recommended, a good friend and I decided on a couple of days away in Rotorua, and we were thrilled with the accommodation at Aura. Lovely staff, great little swimming pool and a couple of hot pools. All we ask for is clean, comfortable, quiet and we got all

Excellent place to stay!!!! Central to everything and staff made us feel very welcome and went the extra mile to be helpful. We were in Rotorua to take part in a swim event at Lake Tikitapu and when we got back to Aura, there was a lovely bottle of wine congratulating us on

Kia Ora Fiona! Thanks so much for the feedback, was great to see you guys and glad that we were able to host you while you competed in Legend of the Lakes. Loved the large room we stayed in - very new, air conditioned and environmentally conscious. The reception we received from Nick was very warm, friendly and we felt at home straight away. Had a dip in the hot spring bath on site. Nick recommended places for us to eat and visit

Kia Ora Mark, Wow thanks for the great feedback, it was really great to meet you, Jodie, Harry and Dylan during your time in NZ. I'm glad that Aura managed to become your 'palace' in Rotorua and that the extra space provided you all with a bit more comfort for the end of your trip. Yes our local staff have heaps of recommendations on places to eat, visit and explore so it's great to hear you guys found a few of them to try out. I agree, Terrace Kitchen does the BEST breakfast! Thanks for highlighting our eco-conscious vibe that we have here, it's something that is super important to us and our guests and we've found that through our Send your Service initiative we have raised almost $1500 NZD in the past two months. Thanks again for the feedback Mark! Hopefully the boys managed to watch a few Lord of the Rings films on the way home! Nga Mihi, The Aura Team

Spent two nights at the Aura with my daughter and my three young grandchildren (aged 4,3 and 1). The room was spotlessly clean, and was well-equipped with everything we needed. The children loved the pool, plus the trampoline, and outdoor games. The scooters were a great hit

Kia Ora 'Woodstock1953', Yes, the scooter are a big hit here, you will always see the staff zooming around on them too. Great to hear the grand-kids had a great time with us, the pool, trampoline and outdoor games do provide a whole lot of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Would love to host your family again in the future and thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback! Nga Mihi, The Aura Team

You will most likely still use a heater in late September.

Are the beds firm? Can I cook trout in the kitchen?
Beds are firm, but not too firm! The outdoor steamer could be good for the trout, maybe?

Is there AC in the room? If no, will it be hot in Dec and difficult to sleep?
Hi Jimmy O, we only have AC in the 2 Bedroom Superior Unit. If people do feel uncomfortable with the heat it is generally through February, December is not an issue
