Stayed here for 2 nights during the Christmas holidays and had a lovely time. Room was a bit exposed (large glass windows with non-blackout blinds) but clean, comfortable, and the rest of the areas are great. Breakfast was continental, and getting to chat with other visitors a plus. The parting gift of a piece of Christmas cake sent me off...

Friendly Chris and Dave provide a perfect and beautiful spot to relax after a long flight, with very comfortable and extremely clean accommodations and lovely breakfasts. The grounds and view are lovely. And take note on how convenient this location is to many area attractions. The six of us filled the bedrooms, so the atmosphere was one of family with...

3 of our family stay a night in Mokoia Room. superb views, and in the morning you can see tiny bunnies running just in front of the room. Chris, Dave were wonderful host, and Chris's brother Peter, the dog named Curl, the lamb named Lucky welcomed us a lot. although our family didnot speak English well, they even helped to learn!...

We stayed in the Ponga room for three nights. Chris and Dave were very nice and we enjoyed talking to them. Their dog came out to greet me as soon as I parked our car, followed by a very friendly pet lamb. Our bed was comfortable and our three year old loved the pack-n-play Chris set up for her. It...

We had a wonderful stay at this quiet little farmhouse tucked away in a hillock just a short drive away from Rotorua. Chris and Dave were very welcoming ,eating breakfast together with us every morning .My children had fun with the very obedient resident sheep dog and Chris even organised a little feeding session of the sheep early one morning...

We wanted to get away from Auckland for a few days of peace and quiet, and Chris and Dave's beautiful homestay was exactly what we were hoping for. The rooms are very comfortable and the views are exquisite, especially from the lake facing spa in the evenings. Hamurana is close enough to be convenient for Rotorua, but without all the...

It was great getting to know Chris and Dave and they couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The property was beautiful ... My wife and I stayed with Chris and Dave for 4 nights in early February. Upon arrival you were immediately made to feel at home with wine and cakes. They both joined us for a great breakfast of home made bread and jams etc and ensured we knew of all the local attractions etc. Waking up to the view over...

Nice place to stay. The hosts are very friendly and made dinner reservations for us which was great. The house is exceptionally quiet at night so you can expect a good nights rest. The guest lounge room could do with a television and some wine glasses for an after dinner drink.

Thanks for your review. Yes we have been thinking about TV in the rooms, but TV is available in the TV room and plenty of wine glasses available also. Thanks for staying and we enjoyed your company.

We spent 4 nights with Chris and Dave at their lovely farm house located only 20 minutes by car from Rotorua. Hamurana is a great location from where one can embark on many scenic nature walks and yet still access the restaurant and activities infrastructure of Rotorua. The house has a incredible view of the lake and a peaceful garden...
