Stayed thete 30+ tears ago and surprised it is still there. An old style hotel with dark wooden features very reminiscent of the 1970s. Huge room with comfortable bed, couch, table and nice balcony looking over tree lined street. Restaurant on site and house bar with pool table. Swimming pool and spa (forhot that the bathroom also had a spa...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room pleasant, beds lovely, and lots of room. However Hotel does not take American Express (strange decision for a large Hotel in a well known city) and the GYM was barely functional. No Sky TV in rooms, with 6 channels only available of free to view TV. Overall a positive experience, a little bit of...

Duvet cover had questionable stains on it, blood stains on the sheets, curly hairs in the bathroom and the sliding door out to the balcony opened and closed with the wind making a howling noise all night. Poor hygiene in the room along with old decor made for a very uncomfortable night and the front desk did not answer any...

Have not stayed at this hotel for at least 8/10 months and in this time things appeared to have gone down hill. Firstly the prices have gone up but the standards have gone down hill. Mattresses and pillows are hard; coffee and tea sachets appear to be old ( old taste ); hair shampoo and condition in tiny containers -...

Smooth check in and friendly staff. Large, clean room. Very cozy. Decor a little dated but all very tidy. Restaurant staff very pleasant. Food was good. Beef salad had lovely flavour but could use one or two more ingredients. Would definitely stay here again.

Considering I ordered a cheesecake to the room and it arrived with mould on it - I would usually score a "terrible" HOWEVER the staff were just so great and breakfast was really good. The rooms are exactly what we had expected for the price we paid so no complaints there. You can't expect a langham style room when you're...

If you come looking for problems, they will be easy to find, but if you travel and appreciate character you will definitely find plenty here! Attentive staff and clean quarters makes this good value. Upgrades are being planned, we were told, but hope the piano, stained glass, wooden fixtures and location do not change!

We had re booked after cancelling a previous non refundable booking due to a bereavement. The hotel very kindly offered us another weekend which they didn't have to do. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and also had the cooked breakfast. In addition we had a lunch which we arranged prior as the quiet and comfortable surroundings made it...

It was a nice hotel, big room, big bathroom, deck. Close to everything, friendly staff Downsides were the food overpriced for what you get we felt. And everything felt like it was a bit dated. We will come back but will eat outside.

The first impression of the hotel is a welcoming aroma however needs a mass renovation as it has been left well behind in the times. The staff tried their best but communication is clearly lacking between them. During our stay there was a mass confusion between the included breakfasts but staff insisted they were correct until managment explained they were...
