Stayed for five nights in a one bedroom suite. Accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. That the internet is limited to just two devices at a time is a bit of nuisance especially when they is more than one guest sharing the same access code. Breakfast is good but staff need to be more diplomatic when guests arrive shortly before...

High recommended. The Grand of WN still has it -- modern elements having taken nothing from the charm of the place. Very helpful staff and quiet rooms well above the traffic. My room had a good view and I think the same could be said for most rooms higher up. Either way, you're only minutes walk from the CBD and...

Just do yourself a favor and pick a cheaper spot. Most cheap hostels include wifi, this place is outdated and includes a very slow unreliable network. The upside is that it's centrally located and the staff is receptive. The rooms are old. The mirrors are fading from age. The couches and carpets look worn out, they haven't been replaced since...

We stayed at the James Cook for our wedding night. We enjoyed the hotel and they made sure we got a room with a view of the ocean. The bed was comfy and had some interesting towel designs. We had a late checkout too which was much needed!

The James Cook Hotel in wellington is located centrally offering easy access to all local attractions. My 5 nights in the hotel on a business trip was excellent. Hotel also has a taxi stand and so commuting to places from hotel is very easy.

Staff are really friendly & helpful. Beds were comfortable & shower was great. Love the fact you can have several items cooked freshly for you at breakfast. Am unsure why there is a levy for using a credit card, have never encountered this overseas.

The James Cook hotel is a Wellington favourite of mine. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Check-in is always slick and without any delay. I usually have room service and it is delivered in a timely manner. It is good to have the menu updated reasonably often.

The James Cook Hotel is long established and lives up to its great reputation. Central location means you have a short walk to the Golden Mile shopping precinct and numerous conference facilities, government and businesses. Helpful staff and hotel has recently been renovated
