We spent 3 pleasant nights at this conveniently located hotel, which is within easy walking distance to the city (walking back to the hotel is a good exercise with a bit of a climb). Parking at the hotel is valet-only, but on the street parking may be available too if you are

As Accor members, I expected a little more from the hotel? No welcome note, no complimentary water, not even a pen in the room. The rooms are very well appointed with your choice of 2 different shower types. It might be a while before we're back.

Located on the The Terrace, this hotel requires some fitness to walk back up the hill. There is an Executive Lift located at the entrance to the dining room which takes you down 5 levels to the next street down the hill and will save your knees in both directions. Otherwise,

Kia ora KimRea, Thank you for leaving a review for us and future guests. I am so happy to read you enjoyed your stay and were able to take advantage of the VIP lift to eliminate the hill. We do hope you will visit again and perhaps try one of our Executive Rooms or Suites for extra space. Kind regards Jade Stunden General Manager

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The room was clean and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly - particularly the french barman and the front desk staff. We ate in the restaurant on our second night and we were very pleased with food. My wife had a Wagyu steak

Is it in a good tourist area
It's not very close to the inner city. Maybe a 10 - 15 minute walk downhill. There are some steep streets to walk up getting back to the hotel. In saying this, the hotel has quite good views.

I thought the gym and pool were meant to be open in July ? part of the reason we booked here .
The gym and pool are open, i have used the facility several times over the past 4 months and it is great.
