I spent two nights here. First it is a pretty long walk from the railway station (about 30 mins walk). The hostel is in a good location, its right opposite the supermarket and it is a short walk to the city and Mount Victoria. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are amazing....

This is a very big, very well positioned hostel in Wellington City and the perfect starting point for your day as you'll invariably begin by passing the big New World Supermarket (open 7am – midnight) and onto the boardwalk/recreational spaces that take you along the shoreline towards the vibrant Civic Centre and onto your day's adventures. The salient features of...

Location is really central, close to supermarket (across the street), museums (papa), harbour and Mt. Victoria. Explanation to get there could be better. Hostel has two big kitchen so easy to cook even if all want to cook at the same time. Bathrooms were clean. Dorm size was ok, clean but had no lockers. Lack of atmosphere but its a...

I stayed here on two occasions and had an excellent stay both times - it was always spotless, the beds, rooms and bathrooms are extremely comfortable and spacious, and the kitchen and communal areas provide great spaces to hang out in. The lockers with power sockets in the 4 bed dorms were a very welcomed addition too. The laundry room...

YHA has got the hostel thing down. It's a well-oiled machine. You won't be disappointed in the level of cleanliness or really anything else n terms of the way it functions. And the location is stellar. But... (Yes, there's a 'but'.) This YHA is totally lacking in any kind of charm. It feels cold and sterile despite how well things...

Stayed at in a 6-share for three days. Incredibly large room with plenty of room to move around. The kitchen/eating area is also roomy and sociable with lots of powerpoints and free wifi, with cool music playing in the background. Close to Courtenay Place and the CBD, and public buses. Staff were okay, but the hostel itself was easily the...

Urban hostel, great in pretty much every aspect: - Clean, - Central, - Close to the sea - Cheap There is a countdown(?) on the other side of the road, which was open until midnight. Nothing what you can credit the hostel for, but nice anyway :)

An urban hostel with every possible facility one will need. located in a prominent ideal location, close to streets popular for nightlife. Walking distance from a supermarket and extremely near the Te Papa Museum, probably one of the greatest museum globally.

Four of us stayed the night as we were attending a party and didn't want to have to drive home. Room was great, beautiful view of the sea, plenty large enough, very clean and in a great location. We couldn't have asked for more.
