We stayed with Ibis Wellington for 2 nights during the Auckland Anniversary Weekend. We found the staff very friendly and helpful when we checked in, the room was reasonable for the price we paid. The hotel is located at the business district in Wellington so it was quite quiet during the weekend. After the first night, we were waken by...

We stayed three nights in December 2012 and found the hotel clean and comfortable, although pipes were a bit noisy from neighbouring room. Staff were very nice although some had trouble with the English language. Dinner in the lobby restaurant is tasty very good value . This is an ideal city hotel, close to all amenities. It fits the bill!

Ibis Wellington is considered reasonably priced (at NZD100-ish per night). Some main points: 1) The location is at a quiet part of Wellington which is good. It is not a loong walk to the busier area. 2) Free wifi and 2 PCs at the lobby. However, need to pay in the room. 3) No safe box in room. 4) Bed...

Everything was clean, convenient and efficient. Internet and couple of PCs were available in the hall. Location is very convenient, staff is helpful enough. Absolutely soulless hotel, like all ibis hotels are, convenient anyway, I would recommend.

I stayed here for one night in January for work. The staff from housekeeping, to front desk, to the eatery staff were brilliant, friendly, exceptionally responsive and basically seemed to enjoy their jobs. (Don't find that in Australia much) Bedding was great with a medium to firm mattress, quality bedding, lots of pillows and a good night sleep. Sound Proofing:...

Thus Ibis was fantastic value for a short weekend stay in the heart of Wellington. Our twin room was perfectly comfortable and adequate. We were especially happy with the efficient check-in and check-out, and there was no fuss with leaving our bags with them for a few hours while we explored the city. We would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is your standard Ibis: good basic rooms, reasonably priced. The rooms were generously sized for New Zealand but the bathroom was slightly on the small side - though perfectly good shower. The only (pleasant) suprise was that the breakfast buffet was quite good. Very good location though, so good pick if you're more about seeing Wellington than experiencing...

The only ordinary thing about our Wellington stay was the weather! Everything else was great, especially our king size bed and the lovely dinner in the hotel's restaurant. We were about a 20min walk to the Te Papa museum which is a worthwhile place to visit. Well done Ibis team.
