Key and note left for us as arrived late with instructions of how to get in. Lovely and private . . 2L milk, orange juice, cereals and bread all there for us. Great. Lovely and clean too, great stay :)

This was the last B&B before leaving for home. The house was excellent with a bright airy room with a great garden view, secluded from the main road. We were aloud to use the facilities after booking out and prior to us leaving for the airport

I just returned from 7 nights in Christchurch where I stayed in the self-contained upstairs suite at Alumni House. Brad and Philippa were lovely and accommodating hosts and I appreciated the early check in after a more than 24 hour journey from Canada. The suite was exactly what I needed - a small work area with wireless internet, an lovely...

This beautiful house is a wonderful B and B. The accomodation comprised of a small entrance lounge a bathroom including washer/dryer. Then into a very large area with a bed wall tv and very nice kitchenette with all amenities. Stocked very generously with continental breakfast items. You get a very friendly welcome from Philippa on arrival. Also their small cat...

We stayed 4 nights in December 2014 and the experience was beautiful. Brad is so freindly and helpful. When we reached Alumni House first time in the evening no one was home but Brad had left a note and the key to the apartment for us stuck to the main door !! The next four days at Alumni House were...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights when we first arrived in Christchurch. We found the room to be cosy and fairly private. Although the hosts mostly kept to themselves, they were very willing to help out where they could, such as allowing us to arrive after midnight and giving us a ride into the city when it...

Like some of the other reviews, I feel sad at not being able to give this B&B a higher rating. The main house & gardens are beautiful, set off the road in the suburb of Riccarton. Our room was in a self contained wing attached to the house, with doors opening onto the garden. The bed was comfortable & large, but...

I feel a bit mean rating this as good as there was little to complain about, but in comparison to the hospitality we received everywhere else in NZ, this was a little more impersonal. Room was great, opening onto a lovely garden and with a shared kitchen/living room for all guests. One weakness would be the curtains, which didn't keep...

Brad and Philippa couldn't have been more accommodating for our party of 6. The two ground floor double bedrooms overlooking the garden were delightful and the third room in the main house was a real luxury. We had a great shared space with a small kitchen and area to sit and enjoy a barbecue in their garden. Plenty of breakfast...
