Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, good food and the pool, sauna and spa a bonus. I haven't had a car so walked to the local Merivale Mall or into the city centre. Also close to the Botanical Gardens. Have been coming for a week at a time through the year and will be back. Thanks to everyone for an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is well situated in close proximity to the city by car or for those who enjoy a walk a slightly longer distance to travel but certainly doable. The hotel is not new and is slightly dated but my room and bathroom were lovely and clean. The wide opening windows looked out onto the pool area, which was very...

Warm greeting at reception and then help carrying bags upstairs was a nice welcome to Pavillion in Christchurch. The room was updated and clean. Bathroom with spa-bath and separate shower pleasant and functional. Bed was firm yet comfortable and a good variety of pillows made for great sleeping. The only issue was that there was no air conditioning and the...

It was our first time staying at The Pavillions Hotel and I would definitely recommend it and stay again. The hotel is conveniently located, clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Special mention to Tuva, Mark, Keith and Jeanie, who were all very helpful and went out of their way to provide assistance when needed. Nothing was too much...

I regularly stay in chch and in different hotels/motels, I booked here as I had seen a ad on FB and thought that looks really nice. Booked in $250 a night abit steep but was hoping for a little luxury , was very disappointed bathrooms are what I first noticed , dirty runners around the bottom of the bathroom with...

Thank you for taking time to post comment on your stay. Can I apologise it did not meet your expectations - it is surprising as we constantly have fantastic feedback on our cleanliness it is a rare occurrence to receive such feedback. This is a mid-range tidy hotel but nothing exceptional. It is good accommodation at a cheap price. The dining room is quite small and cramped and during breakfast with large numbers of people you find it difficult to move around without tripping over other guests. I had a large room with separate lounge which was very nice. The one downside...

Thank you for taking the time to post a response. I am glad you enjoyed the location of the accommodation along with the luxury of a large room - its nice to have the space whilst you are travelling. You must of experienced an exceptionally busy morning in the restaurant as groups are normally put in a separate area so...

I stay at the Pavilions about six times per year and will continue to do so. The service and personal attention that is afforded to my wife and me makes staying there an enjoyable experience. We are now known by our first names by the owners and staff.

Good sized rooms although bathrooms could do with modernizing. Easy access to the city. Friendly staff and great facilities. Excellent restaurant and bar. I always stay at the Pavilions Hotel for these reasons.

Stay was good . Breakfast was very expensive yesterday $33.35 each person. I worked out later that this may have been because of a statutory holiday but this was not explained at any time . Other than this everything was fine

This hotel is a family run hotel. Debbie the manageress (daughter of the proprietors) admits it's not everyone's cup of tea, but we loved it. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Christchurch City Centre. We spent a month in Cottage 3 with its own driveway and patio. The kitchen is fully equipped and the cottage has two...
