I booked our 5 night stay direct with Kimberley the manager, she provided good communication before my arrival and left good instructions on how to enter the property after hours as we were arriving late. We stayed in the King Room with Jacuzzi bath , the room was spacious and warm with good air con and TV, however we thought that the Bedroom carpet could have done with a clean as a few stains here and there, the bathroom was a very good size and had a good shower and nice large jacuzzi bath which we enjoyed . we had breakfast included in our booking and a basic hot breakfast was offered, two different choices, bacon and eggs or eggs benedict, also offered a continental breakfast with juice , cereal and toast, although not a huge breakfast choice it was adequate and we enjoyed it. The property is well situated and only a 10 minute walk to the City Centre, it is also on the tram route and a stop is located just outside the B&B. To sum up, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Grange for a good stay in a very good location at a reasonable cost !!

On arrival we were met by the charming Kimberly our host. Although arriving before booking in time due to an early flight we were able store our luggage for the morning. The room was luxurious and very tastefully decorated to match the era of the building. The bed comfortable, the shower hot and altogether spotless. The full breakfast we had was deliciously cooked by George the chef. Being so close to everything by walking distance just topped it off. Clearly a jewel in the Crown. Thank you so much, Margaret and Murray

Wanted something reasonably cheap as was arriving late and leaving early and this place was fantastic. Called them on the morning of arrival to let them know we'd be late and our key was waiting in the box when we arrived. Had a room in the main building and the decor was great and room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included the next day and this was also fantastic. Very friendly hosts too. Would stay again.

Although the lady at the desk seemed to be mixed up between our reservation and one of other people at first, everything went great after that. We had a spacious room and bathroom, parkin om the premises and in walking distance of everything in the city. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Can't see why not to recommend this place.

Just what was needed for first night in NZ. A great find to stay in an older building in Christchurch as I am sure so many have been lost. The room was comfortable, and hosts were friendly. The location has easy walking to Botanic gardens, christs college, galleries, etc. so you can get a good feel for Christchurch from here. Also easy access to other city amenities for breakfast and dinner. Hosts also offer an nice breakfast option. Parking and stairs could be a slight negative, but not enough to dock any stars.

The Grange is right in the heart of Christchurch and offers everything you may need at a reasonable price. A good breakfast is included. There is parking on site and the hosts are helpful and efficient. The stairs upstairs are a little steep if you have heavy bags or bad knees like me, so ask for a ground floor room.

The Grange Motel is in a great location, close to eateries and with a bus stop opposite. The Botanic Gardens and Museum are easy walking distance. Our room was small but well set out with bathroom and kitchenette. The room was at the back of the complex so very quiet and had large opening doors for fresh air. The staff were helpful offering good advice on local facilities.

Spacious room with a comfortable bed in this charming bed and breakfast. The couple running it couldn’t have been nicer and breakfast was delicious. You need a car to stay here as it’s not accessible otherwise. We had originally booked two nights but on our return we decided we wanted a full service hotel when we had returned our rental car.

This is a good motel when you are staying near to the centre of Christchurch. It is a small walk to get into where all the shops are. We stayed in a ground floor room which has bifold doors not so much fun in winter but would be a very handy feature in the summer. They have a small kitchen with two hobs, a kettle, fridge and microwave.

This B&B is easy to get to by car. We flew into Christchurch and hired a rental car. Bonus is free parking on site so park and walk as the central city area is only about 0.5km away. The unit we had was spacious, clean and tidy and well appointed. If we were staying more than one night it would of been ideal to cook a light meal. As we were travelling we had toast and coffee for breakfast but they also do a cooked breakfast. The bed was really comfortable. On arrival we were given a map of the city and all the tourist sights we wanted to see were marked on it for us and explained.
