Stayed in a double room and it's more like a hotel than a hostel. Really nice size and very comfortable bed. It's right in the centre, so perfectly located. Showers could be improved, and that's the only downside (the guy blowing his snot into the sink for 10 mins didn't help matters either!)

Hostel is in a great part of town, very central and not too expensive either. However the hostel itself just felt a bit weird, at check in behind the counter is signs such as 'no refund - no exceptions' which doesn't fill you full of confidence. The older lady behind reception seemed totally uninterested in the job and was far...

We had private rooms. The building was quaint. The facilities were older but clean. The best aspect was the receptionist/guide. She knew all about the local area and gave us great advice on what was worth doing. Loved Dunedin because of it. Also, everyone loves gizmo, the resident cat.

Bathrooms and kitchen were clean. Desk staff was friendly. Wifi was good strength. Rooms were nice and also clean. Great location. Moderate amount of street noise if you have a window facing the street, which can be troublesome given it is on the 1st floor. But LOVED that they have a cat.

Cheap hostel really close to the citycenter, like two minutes walking! The price is really super too! Perfect place to relax after the day around the city or the peninsula, and it is a good spot to spend a couple of days: missing a little bit of vibe but really no complains :) say hello to the cat!

I called and booked a room after 6pm on a Saturday night. The lady at the desk had fantastic customer service and I got a free room upgrade as they weren't too busy. Very friendly atmosphere and so welcoming. The place was also clean and warm. I would recommend for anyone.

Good hostel with friendly staff, you cant drink there which is annoying but its fine, located near everything and too pricey , clean aswell, you also get free brekkie which is good, and free tea and coffee

I would give it five star if it were not the two receptionists who are so sophisticated. They are unhonest, always want to sell the most expensive room to you, and they press you a lot. I don't like this style. Never met this before in New Zealand. Other things are perfect here.

It feels like there's a lot of people staying long term there. Quite difficult to mingle with people there. Free breakfast is a plus. Rooms are not entirely clean, but not dirty either. Wobbly beds which is noisy. Lovely lounge to hang out if there's space for you.

It's was such a good hostel. It was in the middle of Dunedin and close to absolute everything. The staff was so nice and friendly and helped you out with everything you needed. The only thing was that when it was loud out on the street you heard everything in your room. But that´s no surprise, because it's in the center...
