We stayed here during a four-week trip to New Zealand in November 2015 (sorry it's taken so long to write a review :-) and this was one of the best and most unique places we stayed. The setting is incomparable, our room was luxurious and comfy, and the hospitality offered by the staff was very genuine and memorable. We would...

I was travelling with my partner and wanted to stay on the Otago peninsula. We looked at staying at the castle but wanted something a bit more luxurious. Camp Estate was perfect. Not only were the rooms devine our hosts were so welcoming and accomodating. By day three after spending the day sightseeing we felt like we were coming home....

The hotel, some five or so rooms only, is connected with Larnach Castle, a mile or so up the road. The Lodge is awkward to get to by either a high road out of Dunedin or a drive along the coastal road and up a very steep minor road (which is not everyone's cup of tea). The hotel's location is...

We just returned from a 37 day trip to New Zealand which was extraordinary in every way. I very rarely post negative comments, but wanted to comment on Camp Estate. Although the setting is beautiful and the rooms very nice, the Estate is at least a 20 minute drive from the town of Dunedin and and hair raising drive from...

Camp Estate is clean and quiet and the breakfast was freshly cooked but it's in the middle of nowhere, about 20 minutes up a steep and winding narrow road from Dunedin. You may enjoy staying here if you're a monk!

Hi Bob Thank you for taking time to leave us a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your breakfast. We are sorry you thought it was too far out of town, most people that stay with us choose Camp Estate for this very reason. The fact that you are only 20 minutes minutes from the heart of the city to...

We stayed at Camp estate last weekend and it was so much better than we could ever have expected. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional, this included pre dinner drinks, the meal at the castle and the breakfast the following morning. Everything was done to the highest level for us as the guests and the 2 staff...

Wow! What an amazing venue for small and elegant wedding, this venue is most definitely one of the most elegant places Dunedin has to offer. We had our wedding reception here ( 18 people in total) and found it to be the perfect size plus the both us newly weds and the family could stay on site. Michelle ( the...

A stylish lodge with beautiful views. Do take a walk up the hill behind the lodge, and you will be rewarded with an amazing view. KImberley kindly booked dinner at local restaurant for us. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was a dissapointment. Obviously they are working to a budget, as there was no prepared fresh fruit, the coffee beans had run...

“We loved the room!! The only thing we needed was a bit more room for luggage but we definitely were comfortable and enjoyed the large, open windows and the view was spectacular. Loved the spa bath and the lovely products. The bed was comfortable. Very cozy! My husband suggested luggage racks or benches.”
