Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nice and comfortable. Balcony had great views, also from rooms. What I did find less pleasant was that outside my door was reception with seats. Every time I opened the door, went in or out there were people just sitting in the seats using mobile devices. I found this very intimidating, almost...

What a wonderful experience this was, to stay at beautiful Larnach castle! We were in room 28, a Victorian themed room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed and amazing views over the peninsula. From the moment we arrived, the service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent. Although the room theme was Victorian, we still had all mod...

Our one-night stay with a superb dinner in the castle dining room, lived up to all expectations. Our tastefully decorated bedroom had fantastic views, even from the "loo" !!! The range of breakfast options was also excellent.

Stayed for two nights (one night in the Stables and the second in the Lodge) - both rooms include breakfast and were well appointed. The real bonus was being in the castle grounds, so just a few steps out of the door takes you to the wonderful gardens and castle. Also, the Royal Albatross Centre (where you can see albatross...

So the good part. The house is lovely and the grounds and views are special. The story behind the original building and then the rebuild and conversion to the current state are captivating and worth the visit in themselves. We also had a wonderful time at the evening dinner (70.00 NZD per head plus drinks) and it was worth every...

We spent 2 nights in the Lodge accommodation. The rooms were very comfortable and our had brilliant views over the bay. We arrived in rain and mist but the next day was great weather with hardly a breeze A concern was the thin walls and hearing our neighbours chatting away. Graham at reception was excellent. He had a great sense...

First i need to offer kudos to the staff. Graham met us when we arrived and treated us to a magical stay. We arrived late and the internet had given up our roomso he upgraded us to the lodge. Our room was 23 with the best view of the area. I wandered in to the stable and was shown the...

We a family of four stayed at the stable. Though the room is relatively small but quiet and cosy. The garden is beautiful and well managed. Lots of history and hidden tracks and relics to explored. The breakfast service is excellent, the grandfatherly gentleman so admirable with his work ethics and finally the views looking down at the sound are...

My husband and I stayed in a lodge room. We had the corner lodge nunber 26. Had beautiful views of the bay from two windows. The bed was soft, which was a relief from the hard mattresses typical of motels and there was 2 shower heads!!! We also had the dinner experience. The food was superb, and it was a...
