Hilltop by name , and hill top it was. Reaching it by foot was a great exercise in itself, which one does welcome during a holiday which involves so much good food an drinks!!! Our hosts Cally and Lloyd were so very friendly, kind and helpful and discreet. There was definitely an "artist air" about the place, and a lot...

Cally was the perfect hostess and suggested restaurants and places to visit. We had a large room on the ground floor with a stained glass window above the bed. Breakfast was very good. Hilltop is an imposing century old house at the top of the High street with great views over Dunedin.

Cally and Lloyd were perfect hosts and offered good suggestions for places to eat and things to do during our stay. The room was large with a stained glass window over the bed! It was very comfortable. Cally's breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day. A great place to spend an enjoyable few days. (We stayed from...

This place is incredible. The rooms are AWESOME! The views are great. Our guide, John Fitzwater of GoTourNZ booked us here and he always knows the best places. But the best thing here was our introduction to Vogel's bread at breakfast.

Hilltop is a stately century old house which has large, beautifully furnished rooms. Cally and Lloyd were the perfect hosts who turned on our electric blankets when we went out to a show and then got up at 4am to light a fire, provide tea, coffee and toast for us while watching an All Black rugby game live on their...

this house is marvellous. We had a beautiful view over Dunedin from our room as well as from the breakfast table. Cally was very helpful with booking some sightseeing for us and cooked a very tasty breakfast. The room was large and the bathroom very good. The furniture suits the lovingly restored historical house. We liked it very much.

Excellent in every way. A very friendly welcome from Cally, who helped us with our heavy cases, a very strong lady! Super views over the harbour at breakfast time. And what a breakfast. Nowhere else will you get a soufflata. The house is so tastefully decorated and the rooms are large and the bed comfortable. Cally went to extraordinary lengths...
