Book well in advance, it's a popular place and Queenstown has an acute shortage of budget accommodation. The dorms with private rooms attached unfortunately only have 1 bathroom for 10 people, so you need to be strategic about your showering time.

lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy rooms and the bathroom/shower rooms are in good condition too! Would definitely recommend this backpackers to stay but do be warned..it's quite a lively and loud place so if you have early mornings booked, it may not be for you.

Positives: the hostel is ideally suited for Queenstown, right near the centre and perfect for exploring. The kitchen/social space and free wi-fi are fine. Negatives: the 6 bed dorm rooms are arranged strangely, so my bed was in an off section with no charging point. I think plug sockets in every room in the 21st century is not too much...

Stayed in double room for two night with my love, the room was warm and clean, over my expectation on backpacker hostel, we were satisfied. Super near to downtown center and we keep on went out by walking, park my car just in front of hostel. We had rented the bicycle for two hours free, and had a wonderful cycling...

We stayed here for three nights over the New Years and had a fantastic experience. The view was exquisite and the rooms were compact and clean. Showers and bathroom were clean and people mainly kept to themselves in the dorm, However were friendly. Staff were excellent and made the stay very enjoyable. A few minor issues, However when we mentioned...

Great location in Queenstown. It is on the lakefront with great views, away from the downtown center, but still close as it's only a 2 minute walk to the city center with all the restaurants, shops, etc. Very nice and helpful staff, clean dorm rooms with extra space to spread out and put your stuff.

Stayed here alone for 2 nights and I can highly recommended. 6 person mixed dorm was clean and cosy. Lounge was nice with beanbag and both the dorm and lounge has purely great view to the lake. Staff was friendly and at least in my room was ensuite. Location is great as Bumbles truly is few minutes from the city...

Bumbles is brilliantly located, has good quality rooms, the staff at the front desk are super helpful and bubbly and the free bikes are fantastic. Some small things impacted on our experience including the lack of showers and availability of washing machines. Despite this I would stay at Bumbles again for a short stay.

Alright so this is my first review on TripAdvisor! I stayed at Bumbles from Mid July until beginning of October 2015 (with minor interruptions) mostly for the ski season and I had an absolute blast of a time! I've been travelling around countries for a while now, but Bumbles struck me instantly because - well, where to begin - it...

Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, good shower and beautiful location right on the lake front of Queenstown. Couldn't have asked for better service, the second we arrived we were welcomed and given advise on what ew should/could do, booked all the trips we wanted and for a decent price. Really love it especially Fiona the Irish receptionist. Would highly recommend
