I made my reservation online through Hotel Travago first time for me.Arrived at the Hotel to be greeted by the welcoming friendly staff great well done Rydges.Over my stay at Hotel Rydge I found the staff to be very informative on the attraction that are within Queenstown and I must say full detail information.I liked the Hotel because it was...

I certainly wouldn't score this hotel with a 1 as some people have but it certainly has some issues. We were on the 10th floor which had an amazing view (see photo) however to get to the room from the elevator we had to walk past a mini building site where they were renovating one of the rooms. The hotel...

Real shame about hotel as the location is stunning. Tired and in need of complete overhaul. Very dirty inside - the bar area was a disgrace carpets and seats all stained and smelt like an old persons home. Windows dirty which given the vista was very disappointing - and that's all windows in facility- restaurant, bar area (inside & out)...

Clearly the Rydges has seen better days, as this room was a major disappointment. We had a budget room triple, but were informed when we arrived that our room had bunkbeds! That means essentially the whole room is taken up by two bunkbeds, meaning there is no place to sit without hitting your head on the above bunk or the...

Ask for a room with a view of the mountains and lake on 7th floor or above. Have been on level 2 before where you get a bigger room without such a great view. Beds were small but comfortable. One pillow smelled like wee. Asked for adjoining rooms but did not get them. Breakfast was nice. View from breakfast was...

Such a beautiful building with a magnificent view, but inside, all the fittings are tired. Upholstery is all worn and or shiny. Room heaters not working. Even the tables in the bar were dirty as you sat down. Strange experience really The food is really average in comparison to other Rydges...undercooked chips, ceasar salad without anchovy, tastelss breakfast porridge, no...

This hotel allowed loud function music to ruin our stay. The music was late at night and disturbed many guests accross at least a while floor. Our stay was otherwise very nice. The hotel has good facilities and helped us arrange activities. But the we did not expect to be sleeping in a night club.

Upper floor rooms have a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding area. However, unless you enter from the back entrance, you have to take two elevators to get there. About a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. Small pool and deck area. Our tour group dinner service was excruciatingly slow. They seemed unprepared for a group our size...

Stayed one night with friends spread across three rooms in three different parts of the hotel. We got partial lake view rooms at a really good price (a Wotif mystery hotel deal) and found it good value for what we paid ($110 NZ a night). It's conveniently located within close walking distance to town. My partner and I were up...
