Having stayed in many backpackers before this one is definitely subpar. The hostel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. It's clean and tidy but the atmosphere and facilities are lacking. kitchen is small and poorly equipped, we had to eat our cereal with forks. There are no activities run by the hostel and they charge...

We visited with a group of friends and were drawn to this hostel by its location and apparent 'exceptional facilities' - Don't be fooled by this, the facilities at the hostel were average by a long shot. You need to pay a deposit for almost everything you might need beyond your bed linen. The bedrooms were tidy and the beds...

You may freeze in the winter because you have to go outside to use the bathroom. The rooms have terrible ventilation so they smell like unshowered backpackers and the lockers are too small to put a suitcase or a backpack. The location is great and it's probably one the cheapest places in an expensive town, so if all you need...

They are so many nice backpackers to stay in Queenstown that there's no need to stay in an average place like this. Rooms: We had a single powerpoint with a 5-plug power board for 8 people in the room. There were only four small lockers for 8 people, too. The beds were reasonably comfortable but the top bunks have no...

Stayed at this hostel with a small group after hiking the Milford trek. It's a little walk out of town but nothing inconvenient. Staff were a little unfriendly when we arrived and throughout the stay. Kitchen fine but a little old - they were apparently doing renovations while we were there. Costs $5 to rent a towel with a $10...

Stayed in room #18 (double room) for 2 nights December 6th to 8th. Paid $120 NZ per night. Tight little room with view of the mountains. Crappy mattress. Adequate linens and towels. Small flat screen TV with 2 channels. Water boiler and selection of teas and instant coffee. Check-in was fine. David the receptionist made an effort. Check-in not till...

Due to stay 10th December for a work social club event and circumstances have changed with not enough people to warrant the full dorm purchase. Spoke to David and will not refund or try to onsell the dorm even when we have given 4 days notice of cancellation. Manager will not make contact. Have offered to negotiate-pay something towards the...

Pay $ 105 for a double room, no washbasin, no shower, a window that does not close is outrageous. Tiny shower not very hot. Better to go to the campsite, it costs cheaper and it is cleaner. I don't recomend.

I had a double bed room. Small but alright. There was heating in the room.Good in terms of value, slightly less noisy than some other accommodations. Downside: the room I had located at level 1, had to go to the ground floor to have a shower and use the toilet.

Good location & good price for Queenstown - which is generally expensive. Clean and quiet place. Friendly staff once they get to you (1 staff dealing with lots of people when I was checking in). Bathroom & shower were cramped & showers not the most private - the curtain provided privacy but it needed another curtain for improved privacy whilst...
