Travelled as a party of 3, staying 2 nights. Doug and Linda are a welcoming and hospitable couple. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean, with modern décor. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The settings were tranquil, with spectacular lake and mountain views from the twin bedroom and dining room. Our hosts served a satisfying...

We stayed here for just 2 nights and we wish that we had stayed for longer. 23 Paton is a beautiful home and we felt privileged to have the opportunity to share it. The owners, Doug and Linda, were lovely people who went out of their way to make you feel welcome. They offered lots of useful advice about activities...

My husband and I stayed with Doug and Linda for two nights whilst travelling through New Zealand. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and are very knowledgeable about the area. As we were the only guests we had sole use of the bathroom and toilet. Doug and Linda have two rooms but only take either...

We recently stayed 2 nights with Doug and Linda while my partner ran the Kepler Challenge. They went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly for us. The bed was super comfortable and the scenery around the property is just stunning. I particularly enjoyed being able to read my book lying in bed with beautiful mountain views...

We stayed with Doug and Linda for two nights when traveling as a couple early May this year. We were the only guests, so very comfortable. Bed was big and comfortable, bathroom was *huge* and spotless, and the bedroom view is inspiring.. :-) Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and Linda's homemade muffins are a real killer. But best of all...

We truly enjoyed our 2 nights stay with Doug & Linda. They are very lovely hosts. The room was bright, clean and the bed super comfortable. The private bedroom had a tub and a spacious shower, very clean. Breakfast was amazing - Linda bakes the best muffins ever. We would definitely come back!

We spent two nights here, and what a stay it was. The house was charming and very well kept. The bedroom and bathroom were both huge and very comfortable, one of the best we had during our time in NZ. More importantly, Doug and Linda were great hosts and welcomed us with open arms. We felt more like friends than...

This is perfect. Doug and Linda and are such friendly and interesting hosts. The views from the room of the Fiordland mountains are wonderful. Only Kirsty and Tony's Suainiaval in the Outer Hebrides beat this. Breakfast was extensive, delicious and in a room with equally inspiring views. If we go back to Te Anau, will not consider anywhere else while...

We are very happy to have found 23 Paton via TA! We stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have asked for more. The room and bathroom are super comfortable (best shower we've had in NZ!) and it's obvious that a lot of love and care goes into their home. From the bedroom you have lovely views of the surrounding...

We spent 2 nights with Doug and Lynda in their lovely home overlooking fields and Te Anau lake. The hospitality was great and we were amused to find that Doug's ancestors had come from the same small town in Scotland as my father-in-law - Tain. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit and muffins each morning and whatever muffins we didn't...
