We only stayed for one night, but the owner was very kind and let us change in a room after an overnight on Doubtful Sound. It was a simple, but very clean nice room and we had a lovely breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for a day or two. Good location.

Having a freshly cooked yummy breakfast was one of the best things you can ever have on a trip, and Ray made that happen for us. He was super helpful with the load of questions we had, and even allowed us to use the laundry and dryer FOC. Lucky us!! The room is nice and cosy; toilet is considered small...

I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. Spotless rooms dotted with the occasional Shakespearean pun (bathroom sign: “to pee, or not to pee…”), a fun little common area, and incredible full Kiwi breakfasts. And Kaylie and Ray are freaking awesome – had some great conversations while we were here. Three days wasn’t enough – we’ll harass these poor...

The person who runs this place is amazing - he cooks up a fantastic breakfast - really tasty omelette with has browns and tomatoes ! The bathroom is tiny and slightly uncomfortable but the room is nice and spacious. The location is walking distance from the main town area

The Shakespeare House B&B is absolutely perfect. It is homely, cozy and only a 1 minute walk away from the breath-taking Lake Te Anau. The rooms are spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and have real comfy beds. The bathrooms are large too. The hosts Ray & Kylie are very warm, hospitable, friendly, helpful, honest and kind. Ray cooks up a scrumptious...

We loved the stay here! The room was cosy, big and clean, the host was very friendly, it has on site free parking space and the breakfast was cooked by the host and it tasted exceptionally yummy! Other than the cooked breakfast, there's free flow bread, jam, cereal, milk, tea, coffee etc. This was the best breakfast I had throughout...

Shakesphere is a B&B located about1.5 blocks from lake shore. Place is like a small motel. Owner is great ,helpful, friendly, and includedbreakfast is good with much variety for a B&B. Rooms are clean. As good a place as any in Te Anau

basic B&B as room was a little dated and felt like an old peoples home as on a corridor so view straight onto lobby. Clean and everything you need. Regardless would recommend as very genuine owners. Ray provided a full cooked breakfast and could not do enough for you. Quiet location with short walk to lake.

more like a small motel, in an unassuming residential neighborhood. Family run. Fairly modern interior belies its external appearance. renovated bathrooms, perfectly fine. Ray (part of the owner family) gives you a personal greeting and helps you get settled, also has recommendations. Good breakfast. Immaculate and clean and good location. Te Anau was a surprise….we picked it because it was...
