This is a B & B with a difference and definitely one for the slightly independent traveller. The house is owned by a fashion designer who uses it occasionally but in the meantime makes it available to travellers. The room we had was good, the bathroom excellent and in the evening we had a selection of rooms to relax in....

We found this place on line and ummed and ahhed about booking it. We are glade we chose it because it had the most amazing character to it. We had the whole place to our selves the fist night and had a good look around. What magical décor. We had different home made muffins that Jackie produced each morning and...

Arthur House is certainly different and very interesting. We stayed for one night before travelling over Lewis pass to meet up with friends. Jackie and Charles were excellent hosts providing a super breakfast and an insight to the history of the house. They manage the house on behalf of the owner and as we were the only guests staying, we...

Fabulous place to stay, fabulous hosts. Don't stay anywhere else! The rooms are so comfortable, the lounge rooms relaxing, and the breakfast sensational. Make sure you book ahead - even though we didn't.

What a wonderful old villa...we were welcomed by Jackie and shown to our room...which was large and sunny ...with antique furniture and a modern en suite. She showed us round the house ... 2 lounges with a large tv in one and comfortable couches...and a kitchen which we could use and could help ourselves to a glass of wine. It...

We stayed at Archer House for one night, this place is a real gem and we would definitely stay for longer if we come this way again. We had the red room, it has the largest ensuite shower room, but the other rooms are a bit more interesting and catch the light in the evening. The owner has a real...

An amazing house, glorious furnishings and garden, and perfect hosts. This heritage house has three guestrooms, each with newly remodeled, top-of-the-line ensuite bathrooms. We staying in the, bright, sunny blue room, (which is mostly white). Our friends stayed in the green room which has lovely stained glass. Throughout the home are beautiful (and comfortable!) antiques from across the globe, tastefully...
