We needed a place for only one night this was able to accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids in two separate rooms. But the rooms open straight to the carpark and did not feel safe, so we split the kids up and put an adult in each room. The rooms were basic. Walls dirty and smelt old. Sheets were clean,... More

Only checked the reviews for the Astor hotel/motel after we had booked! Made me rather nervous - however we found a typical country town motel room with a comfortable bed, a small kitchen area containing an iron, ironing board, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery (even wine glasses). The bathroom was compact (the hand basin was located in the kitchen area)... More

It was Thursday night. Super busy and it was Trivia night. We came here as a large group of 20. The line up for food was incredibly long. However to our surprise all our meals were ready in 20 mins. For the amount of people ordering I thought they did very well. My ranch burger was amazing. And I need... More

We stayed here with 2 other groups for one night as we passed through Goulburn. Our room was OK - clean, spacious and everything was in working order. Nice shower, comfy bed. Our travelling companions opted for the discounted rooms and were not happy at all. The rooms are very small, the showers had no hot water or water pressure... More

Hotel had no hot water. No remote for the air con/heater. No bedside lamps. 1 single power point. Not enough parking for guests staying in hotel, as people that want to eat at the bistro/bar took all parking. Plus there was a bit of noise from the bar/bistro.

Only staying one night, and had some guy barge into our room after midnight because management had left a key out for him - they left our room key instead of the one next door. Appalling breach of a duty of care. Manager was practically unapologetic in the morning, refusing to admit that it was much of an issue or... More

Join the Astor Club get your card and get a discount on food and drinks. Weekly Trivia Night on Thursday. Ordered the lamb shanks. Meat fell off the bone and loved my mash with lots of jus or gravy. Hearty and satisfying.

We were really tired coming through goulburn on a long trip, we just wanted to book in and have food, shower and sleep on a Friday night. Who would think that the music is loud still at 1am. Shower? - No. Bathroom was a tiny space with no air or proper ventilation and would rather stay disease-free. For $10 extra... More

Loved our cheap stay at the Astor! We should have been camping but it was raining and freezing cold. Decided to get pizza and fajitas from the restaurant. Bad idea. Fajitas were good but tiny for the price. Pizza was not what it should have been and nearly inedible crust. Great motel but go somewhere else for food. Also. Get... More
