Stayed here after a visit to the area for work.A very quaint, well renovated historical adress with comfortable, quality rooms and very friendly helpful staff. The chef was away but they still managed to cook up a delicious dinner in the old dining room.I would recommend this hotel to couples and families. You can immerse yourself in history with some luxury to go.

Stayed here recently for Jazz in the Vines. Ordered room service which came promptly and was delicious. Rooms were comfortable and modern. Buffet breakfast was fine - the decor of the breakfast room and hallways could do with an update. Staff friendly and accommodating

We had an overnight stay and were looking forward to a night away from the city. Upon arrival mid afternoon,we walked into what seemed an empty building( minus builders) until eventually a very friendly and helpful Bianca arrived and got our room set up. The room was lovely, very clean and this was the best part of our stay. We...

Everything else in Maitland was booked out this long weekend, we now now why, the man at the front desk on our arrival didn't appear to suit the decor of this beautiful place, there was no other customers around that we could see, everything in the place closed at 9pm. If we return I think we will avoid it.

An imposing building formerly a convent school with the nuns' rest home next door. A bright modern foyer is swiftly followed by a barrack block of rooms. Ours was of a good size but rather dingy & old fashioned. It was however very quiet considering its proximity to the highway. We chose to eat in the restaurant as it was...

This was an excellent find. Immaculately appointed, clean and great value. All the trimmings of an inner city hotel at the price of a highway motel. Comfy beds and pillows, rain shower in bathroom, clean, modern and neat. Great restaurant overlooking fields. Staff lovely. Vintage charm but all the mod cons.

For a family group, I booked 3 queen rooms as we were attending a wedding at Paterson. At short notice, one of the rooms was cancelled with no problem through the booking agency, not the hotel. Our room was best described as being 'tight' with no room between bed, bedside drawers and wall. TV was small however, we didn't use...

We were passing through Maitland on our way back from a winter holiday in further North. We knew that later in the year we would be back in the Newcastle area for a family function and decided to investigate a suitable place to stay. Monte Pio had been mentioned by the family as a convenient location for the function so...

A beautiful and charming hotel. Customer service was wonderful and our room was beautiful. Restaurant was also very nice. Service was not quite on point but food was beautiful and we were not in a rush. Would recommend staying here again.
