Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This stay is very romantic and has a stunning interior! We booked through AirBnB and were given top notch treatment which went beyond anything we’ve experienced on the app for a regular listing. The place is furnished with gorgeous antique furniture. We came home each evening to a lit fireplace, lit candles all around the house, a fresh cold jug of water by the bedside and a made bed. A continental breakfast was provided, along with a lovely decanter of port in the bedroom and good toiletries. Sue and Phil provide plenty of privacy but are doorbell away if you need anything. They were very kind to assist me with some printing for work. Close to pubs and a park, 12 min drive into town. Highly recommend for couples.

I had a great stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and I had everything I needed to work. Breakfasts were wonderful and nothing was too much for Sue. The B&B is in walking distance to the local hospital, a lovely park, and swimming pool. There are several bus routes which pass nearby making the local nature reserves, beaches, and town center easily accessible. Sue and Phil provide a selection of leaflets about activities and sights within the town which is very helpful.

What a gem of a find, it was the perfect choice for our stay, Sue and John gave us exceptional hospitality, very warm and welcoming, could not do enough for us! The accommodation was second to none, well presented, immaculately clean and attention to detail. The homemade breakfast Sue provides is absolutely scrumptious. Situated a short drive to Newcastle CBD and surrounds, this suited us to a T as it is also is a short stroll to Lizottes where we were booked to see a show. Thank You Again Sue and John, we will definitely be back!

Better than home away from home. Sue and Phil no exactly how to make you feel welcome. Breakfast is amazing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The extras were great. Rock cakes for afternoon tea- just like Mum made. I was unwell during our stay and sue made me homemade soup and added a blanket as I lay in the sun on the veranda. Thanks to you both, we will be back again.

We stayed at Sue & Phil's lovely home for two nights, when visiting Newcastle. This beautiful home is spotlessly clean and immaculately presented. Even though it was windy and chilly in Newcastle, it was warm and cosy at the B& B. Breakfasts were awesome, home cooked pancakes, freshly made yoghurt and fruit salad and more. The main reason we chose this home was it's close proximity to Lizottes where we had booked in to see a show. It was a great choice, only a few hundred metres walk home after a great night out. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and hope to visit again soon.

Sue loves what she does and that shows in her exceptional hospitality at this lovely bed and breakfast. We have never felt more welcome than at this delightful cottage. Sue and Phil made us feel like old friends. Attention to detail must be their mantra because everything was perfect.
