I really enjoyed my stay here to attend a wedding in the Hunter Valley. The hotel was very well maintained, the grounds were lovely, my bed was really comfortable, the breakfast was ample (the cappuccino and flat white were excellent!) and the staff were very helpful and lovely. I was able to check-in an hour early so I could get...

Fantastic find I didn't want to leave this tranquil place. Beautiful location fantastic food and very comfortable accommodation, I could have easily have stayed longer. We enjoyed the experience of the wine tasting.

Had such a lovely stay. Clean, comfy and spectacular. Staff are friendly, knowledgeably and so accommodating. Pool and outdoor spaces manicured. The breakfast was very good and very large. Special thanks to William who was so lovely and helpful and is a natural at his job. Staff even left a tasting plate of desserts in our room as I had...

Hotel in the middle of hunter valley. Hotel in a victorian building run by a small and dedicated hotel business with more luxury hotels in the area. Nice and quiet and good breakfast. Kangaroos in the early morning hopping around your room. Large spacious rooms.

We stayed there from Sat 25 Feb 2017 until Fri 3 March 2017 and really enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was no. 18 which was on the top floor facing the front, and was certainly in an ideal location in The Convent. It had double doors which opened onto a shared balcony with 3 other rooms, where there were...

I stayed here with my partner in February 2017, and enjoyed the stay. It would have been enjoyed more if we hadn't had a street lamp style light outside of our window and the blind did not go to the edge which resulted in light shining on the bed all night so we didn't sleep well. The walls are not...

Visited for the second time with my son and his wife and my cousin. All the rooms were very attractive , clean and with pleasant views . Service was a bit slow but pleasant when it arrived. Great location for visiting the vineyards. A most relaxing stay. We stayed two nights and wished we had booked more.

We spent 2 nights at the Convent as part of our road trip around NSW. It is a character property and so could be seen as being old fashioned by some. Our room was on the first floor and was clean and a good size facing the front of the property. Outside there was a terrace which was shared by...

I booked this place on a recommendation from a friend who probably hadn't been there for 5-10 years. It was a surprise voucher for my husbands birthday so I asked for the best room that they had. At $500 a night for 3 nights, I'd have to say the standard was rather poor. I understand the heritage of the building...

We had the pleasure of celebrating our 27th Wedding anniversary at the beautiful Convent in the Hunter Valley. Our room was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The decor was fitting of a building of its age and era. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return.
