We booked the 4 bedroom farmhouse which is separate from the main accommodation. What a pleasant surprise when we found the farmhouse. It was on its own in a lovely setting. Everything you could require was there. Unfortunately it rained all the 36 hours we were there so we couldn't enjoy the gardens. Would recommend this farmhouse to anyone.

Our room was basic and very compact. It was certainly smaller that the photos suggested. The air con (not the most sophisticated) created a seperate temperature zone over the bed which it faced. The pillows were nice thin slips of former glories. The shower water variation was a wonder in itself. Our room (A2), whilst bordered by a pretty garden,...

There was so much to like - beautiful surroundings, friendly staff & garden views, but our room was much smaller than we expected & we kept getting in each other's way. It was great to have 2 chairs & a table, as well as a desk & if there had been one of us, it would have been adequate. The...

The Barn proved to be a great spot with beautiful gardens and all the facilities for a comfortable stay with old friends. One of the only hotels to offer great in-room coffee and FRESH milk rather than long-life milk. An excellent restaurant too. Highly recommended!

Stayed in a new Premier King Suite for four nights - very peaceful and comfortable. The rooms are huge, modern and well appointed as is the bathroom- free internet was a bonus! Gardens are lovely and the restaurant is amazing. Didn't see or hear another guest our entire stay which was perfect! Our rooms (we had 2, elderly parents in...

We have stayed before and will stay again if we are in the region. A fantastic hotel with very large well appointed rooms, lovely outdoor areas and an excellent restaurant with a great wine list. Only problem is it so far from home.

Our room at The Barn was modern, clean and well-appointed; however, it was too close to a 110 kph main trucking road into Mount Gambier. The road noise was constant, continuing right throughout the night. Certainly didn't make for a good nights sleep. For the money, I think there are far better options around the Mount. Either that or pay...

Managed to get two nights at The Barn hotel on weeknights for A$330 in total. Great value for a room that is big, comfy bed, great gardens surrounding and it was really peaceful. Great place for a quiet getaway from it all as The Barn isn't situated that near to Mount Gambier city either. If I had a small snag...

During our Great Ocean Road drive from Adelaide to Melbourne, this was our first stop off. We were checked into room number 2 which was in a barn conversion block adjacent to the gardens. We had a comfortable stay at the Barn in a nice little room, I probably expected more given the photos of the rooms on their website....

It was difficult to find The Barn, but once we did we were bowled over by the location. The rooms are delightfully set in beautiful gardens. We booked a deluxe room, which we wouldn't normally do, as it was the only option still available. In fact the room was so well-appointed that we were glad we did. There were French...
