The hotel has new owners so things are changing and improving. We got a King room at an awesome rate and had brekky included for free. The owners cooked it themselves and were very accommodating our whole visit. Will book here when next in town.

A lovely boutique modern clean accommodation with a Chinese heritage twist. A delicious big breakfast served also. As well as a small breakfast buffet bar. Great location for an overnight or couple of days stay.

We stayed for 2 nights. There are only 9 rooms in the hotel. 4 rooms on the first floor and 5 rooms on the 2nd floor. Room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfy, dirty marks on the towel though. There's no bathtub but they provided 2 small bottle of BATH FOAM?! and NO SHAMPOO?! Got told by reception lady...

We urgently needed someone where to stay in Launceston due to medical appointments. There wasn't many options and we decided on Areca Boutique Hotel. We were very happy with our choice, I have limited mobility due to recent surgery and they were happy to accommodate us downstairs so I didn't have to negotiate the stairs. The room was clean and...

Despite the relative newness of this establishment, the quality and functionality of this 'Boutique Hotel' fell well short of its advertised 4-star rating - which in my experience would suggest a deluxe guest experience. Whilst the room is certainly adequate, the furniture and decorating is dated, and the towels thin and scratchy. The hairdryer provided was only a cheap travel...

We have stayed here numerous times, for multiple days at a time. We have always had a good experience. It's very comfortable, warm, clean and a great breakfast with very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this as an excellent quiet inner city area to stay above City Park. Walking distance, only a couple of blocks into the city centre

The toilet seat was broken and when I reported it next morning I was told the toilet seats on the whole floor were like that, that they weren't installed properly - well, why aren't they being fixed?? There was no service on my TV after 6.30am and there was no radio in the room. There were no guest slippers. There...

I am a frequent visitor to this hotel because they offer the complete package. Parking is free and easy to access with close proximity to the rooms. The level of service surpasses the bigger hotels because as a guest you are treated with the respect and dignity that would normally be shown to an honoured family member. Breakfast is always...

Receptionist was friendly from start. Room was beautiful - gorgeous furniture, comfortable bed, spotless bathroom. Breakfast good value - only $15 for eggs, bacon, tomato plus standard continental. Soy milk out and gluten free cereal and bread available on request but not with separate toaster if you're celiac but this wasn't prob for me. Thought it was very charming

First impression was the owner, sorry I don't remember her name. Very friendly she said from the start we could have an upgrade to King Deluxe Suite, as we had trouble with stairs. Being Mr. negative I thought yea right! Wow it was fantastic rosewood furniture, a king bed to die for, a fully tiled marble bath room. The hotel...

“We were accommodated in room #15 both nights. We did not hear a sound. We opened a window briefly to listen & even then no intrusive traffic or industry noise. No other guest noises through our walls or doors even though we were only a few steps from the motel entrance & the morning breakfast dining room activity on both mornings.”
