I must admit I was impressed, I booked through the trip advisor app, The room I received was large and well appointed for the reasonable price I paid. This hotel is situated right opposite the water front and was nicely deck out. I do feel I got good value for money. The room had a little kitchenette with a small... More

On a positive note the rooms are spacious and ours was clean; however this is, unfortunately, the best that can be said about the Abel Tasman. Some efforts have been made to invest in the motel but these have clearly been restricted to new beds, tables and linen. The rooms themselves are significantly outdated with worn tiles and carpets, very... More

The Abel Tasman is situated right on the waterfront at Lakes Entrance and the room was very nicely decorated, and came with a fridge and microwave. Short walk or drive to the shops and footbridge to the beach. Pool was very much appreciated on a hot day. Only stayed one night, but was very comfortable here and would definately consider... More

After reading the reviews on this place, I was very disappointed with what I got. The room was small, the balcony faces the car-park with no view and no privacy, the furniture was dated and old, remote control batteries were dead, kitchen detergent bottle was filled with water, the fly screen was ripped and the whole place was just unloved... We booked a room for 2 nights based on the great reviews I've read about the motel. Unfortunately I can only say it's average and not fabulous as rated on some sites. The room is a standard motel room with basic features. At first sight it seemed pretty clean but the truth is that it wasn't shiny clean: cobwebs in... More

Read reviews and wanting a water view chose the Abel Tasman Arrived and waited patiently for someone to come to reception no buzzer and a bell on the door which we eventually went in and out several times to get someone's attention The room was clean and did have a water view but was noisy from the traffic during the... The owners are friendly, service good, the view awesome and breakfast was lovely. I believe the owners went over and above and helped us out with some paperwork we were struggling with. The tariff was reasonable and I believe value for money.

Nice accommodation with a clean and comfortable spa suite containing a handy kitchenette. Bathroom was a bit compact, especially entry to toilet area and shower was over the spa which had a higher than normal edge. We chose a ground floor unit which opened onto an outside sitting area which gave nice glimpses of the lake (upstairs would have been... More

Looking for overnight motel accommodation, on our road trip from Tasmania to North Qld, we were recommended this motel. The hosts were a lovely couple, extremely warm and friendly. They didn't hesitate when we asked for a single night. They had a special Winter rate, just under $100, which included a cooked breakfast. They offered to show us the room... More

Management very friendly and happy to help us out on short notice. Upgraded our room at a special rate. Clean, well presented room looking at the lake from the ground floor with the ocean just beyond that. Close to shops, walk to the beach. Will stay again next time we pass through. Recommended.
