Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very dated, a LOT of wear and tear in the unit we stayed in, worn carpet, cracked tiles with dirty grout and a lot of dust build up. Water pressure in the shower was awful. Balcony was very dirty and green. Stayed here approx 7 years ago and it was lovely but no upkeep and standards have sadly slipped

I had to defer my booking a few times and the staff were so gracious in allowing me to do this. Centrally located, clean and a room that was very generous in size. Comfy bed! I would highly recommend.

Booked this motel through Webjet with after pay, it was such an easy process, Called to see if they received my booking & it was confirmed. I paid a security deposit of $200 as I don't have a credit card and this was returned back to me upon checkout. The staff was Super Lovely I wish they came like that everywhere!! Spa was So amazing I stayed in there nearly the whole evening. The only thing that stuck out was the noise of the vehicles you can hear few beeps and burnouts with the windows closed, but it didn't really bother me as I'm from Auckland and live next to a motorway.

Very nice place to stay, lovely staff who were both friendly and efficient. Great location across from the shopping centre and close to many other things. Free parking inside the building grounds is a plus, and right outside our door. We had a top floor with a balcony which was great - no view or anything but at least nice to sit outside privately. There was a spa bath in the room opposite the bed - we didn't use it (ran out of time) but it certainly looked welcoming and had extra towels and soap on hand. The bed was king size and comfy-ish. The mattress was a bit tired (slight roll in the middle and sunk a bit) so that could have been nicer. The bathroom was nice and large with everything needed. Lovely tiles to walk on. The shower cubicle was a good size, but.... the water pressure was sad and the temperature was awful - turned it up to nearly the hottest just to get warm - feels scary doing that in case it suddenly jumps to hot - didn't like that very much. The hair dryer needs to be removed - it's a cheap and nasty wall job with just an on button - i could have blown harder! Hair dryers are very cheap these days - I think a proper one would have been better for the price we paid for the unit - just saying. Comfy couch and single chair to sit on - dining/coffee table a bit small and low when we used it for eating, but we made do for the one night. Would stay again - just hope that those niggly things would have been improved/replaced by next time, maybe?? Thank you!

Though well appointed the ancient bed had no support and ver bouncy so leaving with stiff backs which not ideal when paying $225 a night. The spa was nice . The TV small and to the left of the bed up high was another odd point. Kitchen balcony and room space good therefore having very old mattresses let’s it down!

Had high expectations based on reviews , website etc I realise new owners can’t fix the following however as a Corp traveller you look for the simple things to be 100% the following were not : Single glazed , so weepy windows in morning , noisy and being right on main road you do here a fair amount. A number of big cracks in bathroom . The wood work on bathroom door at the bottom was water damaged and wear and tear on woodwork throughout the room was evident . The sheer Curtians had rips , gap at bottom of red faded Curtians let’s light in . Patch in carpet , carpet floor hard with industrial polyester carpet - no good for yoga no comfort . Heat pump needed a good clean visible dust on cover and rather ineffective at heating - very old unit . TV was too small older style - however did enjoy the sky channels . Some marks on the top sheet of bed . Red not sure what albeit small white sheets need to be spotless or toss them out . Bed was low to ground not overly comfortable flat pillows . Dated decor . Had a ground floor unit looked out to car -upstairs facing street would be better than looking at carpark . More secure too. Iron board was hopeless see pictures . As was dated hairdryer. Shower was dreadful no pressure ran hot and cold .. Kitchen bibs had bad wear marks . Could not wait to check out . Checking in was friendly . However I was not informed they are not offering breakfast other motels stayed at this week were . On check out Reported all of the above - response lacked understanding and devoid of empathy. Almost argumentative on the cracks in tiles as example - I produced a list of feedback . Explaining that if this doesn’t occur and they can improve they may loose business was trying help . Pushed for a discount paid $165 Was offered begrudgingly $10 which was something . The young lady said I could have checked out and not stayed as they were full I didn’t think that would be fair to them of course I did t know this at the time - usually once you have paid that’s it . Of course some of the issues I encountered didn’t show up to later such as the heater and dated microwave that sounded like it would blow up . Along with a however pressure encountered in morning . The motel was not good and customer service not much better So I will never return and take my personal and business travel elsewhere .

The Cornwall Motor Lodge in Palmerton North is beautiful. Huge rooms. Extremely clean and well presented. The spa bath is an added bonus. So central with restaurants right across the road. Will definitely stay again.
