Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked this motel through Webjet with after pay, it was such an easy process, Called to see if they received my booking & it was confirmed. I paid a security deposit of $200 as I don't have a credit card and this was returned back to me upon checkout. The staff was Super Lovely I wish they came like that everywhere!! Spa was So amazing I stayed in there nearly the whole evening. The only thing that stuck out was the noise of the vehicles you can hear few beeps and burnouts with the windows closed, but it didn't really bother me as I'm from Auckland and live next to a motorway.

Very spacious one bedroom suite. Main bed was large and comfy. Kitchenette was appreciated. Slightly tired room but very tidy. The location means there is quite a bit of road noise but you get used to it. Plenty of off road parking and lovely staff.

Hosts were very hospitable, offering a modern unit at a great rate. Kids loved the jet bath. The plaza with heaps of shops, eateries and supermarket is across the road. Being near an intersection meant traffic noise, but the comfy beds allowed us to get a good night's sleep. There were also ample provisions in the continental and full breakfasts.

We stayed here in a one bedroom unit. The motel was a second choice to better options which were fully booked. It is located on a busy street corner but it wasn’t too noisy.

Design is pretty old 1960s or thereabouts. A lot of TLC is needed... eg dirty curtains, carpet, furniture, aircon and bathroom fan.
Water pressure is low in the shower over the spa bath.
Walk through wardrobe between the lounge area and the separate bedroom was a different feature.
The kitchen has a two plate cooktop, no oven or dishwasher.
Other appliances such as TV, microwave, toaster, hair dryer are all old/outdated. The motel seemed to be pretty full, mostly sales reps. Cheap enough at $169.

Was concerned about noise so asked on checkin for a room on the quiet side. We had room 18. Executive room nicely appointed. Large spa tub with room for 2. Robes and plenty of towels. Large bed and extra pillows and bedding provided. Kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal but we ordered the $18 breakfast which was hot and substantial, well worth it. Easy walk to restaurants. Yes it is a busy road but we found the road noise ok and to be expected this close to the city centre. Would stay again. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Very dated, a LOT of wear and tear in the unit we stayed in, worn carpet, cracked tiles with dirty grout and a lot of dust build up. Water pressure in the shower was awful. Balcony was very dirty and green. Stayed here approx 7 years ago and it was lovely but no upkeep and standards have sadly slipped

We chose this place as we wanted to go cycling on the upgraded Manawatu cycle trail along the river and Cornwall Motor lodge is only 2 km away. As well, it is very handy to the CBD and the square. The rooms were immaculately clean and very spacious.

Room Tip: We were downstairs and easy access. We prefer upstairs but it was fine.

We booked after lunchtime on arrival day, and still managed to get a fantastic room.
There was a bit of noise from the room upstairs coming through, but we were lucky to be in a room well away from the road.
A good sized room, with tidy facilities. Nice to be so close to everything in the CBD.

Though well appointed the ancient bed had no support and ver bouncy so leaving with stiff backs which not ideal when paying $225 a night. The spa was nice . The TV small and to the left of the bed up high was another odd point. Kitchen balcony and room space good therefore having very old mattresses let’s it down!

Location was ideal. Stayed in a one bedroom unit which was well maintained and spacious for family. Spa bath was great and beds very comfortable. Check in was a pleasure due to a very friendly host and she was very helpful as well. Would stay again.
