We slept here for one night. Room was Ok but very dated. Carpet everywhere, even in the bathroom. Host was not particularry friendly. No kitchen. We didn't eat here so can't say anything about the food.

We were recommended to try this restaurant (pub style) by the owner of the motel we were staying in for the night whilst stopping over in Thames on our way to Coromandel & were very happy with the recommendation. Right in the middle of town with easy parking or indeed as we did easy walking distance of local motels, this...

We ate here both nights we stayed in Thames and would highly recommend this pub. There is a good and varied menu, great selection of beers and wines and genuinely friendly and attentive service - even when very busy. Gastro pub or bistro style probably best describes the style of food. The atmosphere is good, too - a mix of...

Arrived at our lodge "Coastal motor lodge" very hungry after 12 hours flight and a 2 hour drive from Auckland. We asked the owner for a recommendation for a dinner restaurant and got the name GBD that is the restaurant at Juntction Hotell. The four of us all ordered different meals and all of us were very happy with the great food and friendly service. Good menu choices and specials. We did not use the accommodation. We were very taken with the children's buzz bee drawings and other artwork in the dining room.

Would recommend. Decent gastropub food and reasonable price for a small town pub. Exceeded my expectations. Two people ate for $75 with drinks, in peak season. Dont really know what else to say about it.

I stayed for 2 nights while travelling around the Coromandel. The room was an excellent twin, with ensuite. The size was excellent. No cupboards though there was a table and chair. The ensuite was clean and of a good size. The shower was fine and sink small but adequate. The single bed was comfortable. This is an old, historical building....

Having just arrived in Thames for the start of the Hauraki Rail Trail we needed a fairly simple dinner on a Sunday night. With other restaurants closed in Thames the Junction Hotel filled the bill at the northern end of town on the Main Street near the cinema. I had the house special of vegetarian frittata and my husband had...

The food is definitely not cheap but the quality is good. There is not really a separate dining room so you are eating in the bar area which can be a little noisy.Staff are very obliging and speed of service is reasonable. The biggest area of concern in my opinion would be wine prices which start at $39 per bottle which to...
