Surrounds are nice and very quiet. We paid $120 a night the cabin was old, floor was sticky, bed hard - shower was good until gas ran out which owner promptly replaced would not want to stay there again we have stayed in older style motor camps which have character this one needs a face lift Fluro light in living...

We stayed for 1 night. The camping has a lot of space? Owner is frienly. Amenities little bit older, but OK. Wifi is slowly. There are some tracks starting on the campsite. Good place to stay to visit paku valley and Thames. Butterfly garden is next door, very easy to visit

If native bush surrounded campsites are your thing, then Dickson Holiday park is for you. Sweet tent sites, comfy , quirky cabins and lots of wildlife. Well appointed , with huge library, swimming pool, BBQs, games room, bush walks, 2 kids playgrounds, tennis, TVs - clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Small shared kitchen, cabins are self contained. Sprawling...

A pleasant spot for campers or cabin staying, not far from Thames township. Nice bush area with well marked walks, swimming pool, good showers, kitchen area cannot find anything to complain about. Under new owners to my last years stay. There had been new work by the new owners. If you are interested in butterflies, it's a special place to...

Nothing fancy about this place. But the cabin we had was clean, as was the common bathroom. The park is very quiet and relaxing and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. It is a great value.

We had not visited Thames before. We were wanting a safe, clean, fun and peaceful camping holiday for our two children. We found it at Dickson. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and plenty of entertainment as well as beautiful weather. We will definitely be returning next year!

Quiet spot with the river bubbling away in the background. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized site. Kitchen well organised with a sunshine dining area. Very pleasant overnight stay during our long travels.

I'm sorry that your stay at our camp wasn't a happy one. Ive spoken to all the staff about being rude at the counter and no one recalls being so. All our staff are asked to be polite and helpful to customers and I'm disappointed that this was your experience. We take great pride in our facilities being clean and...

I booked the dorm on a backpacking tour for a day hike on Coromandel. The Rocky Trial right next to the campsite is a great for 2-3 hours, but you can also do a greater hike to Thames via Tararu Tramping Track (about 6-8 hours). Facilities are rather old, but well maintained and very clean. The whole park is very...

Great hiking around here and see the goldmines is special. We are constantly maintaining and improving the camp, and have put on extra staff to do so

Thanks Neil for the great weekend. Stayed for two nights. Travelled up from Hawkes Bay for a fishing trip. Great place to fillet fish. Rooms were well looked after and heaps of space. Very affordable for the location. Well recommended accomodation for a family. Darren.
