Stayed 2nights in 1bedroom unit and 1 night in small studio. Whilst the exterior reveals its age, the interiors are fresh and with modern facilities and decor. The 1bedroom unit is very suitable for a longer stay with agood range of equipment for self catering. The small studio is still bigger than a tent or caravan but more suited to...

Tucked away from the main road, but just a five minute walk from the eateries, we found this accommodation to be very comfortable and just what we needed for our one night stay en route to explore the Coromandel Peninsula. Our hosts, Yvonne and Keith, were very helpful and provided a map of the central area showing restaurants/cafes as well...

A gem! We stayed in the lovely studio attached to the main house. Well appointed ensuite, kitchenette equipped with toaster, kettle and microwave. Plunger coffee, tea, Milo, sugar and fresh milk supplied. Also crockery and paper towel. Bed was very comfortable, pillows were good (and I am fussy about pillows). Lovely little deck out front to enjoy a drink and...

This small motel is excellently situated a few minutes walk from the town centre. The owners were very helpful and provided lots of local info, eating places, history etc. Thames does not have much if a write up in the tour guides but it is a very interesting place to linger for a few hours before moving onto the more...

Absolutely perfect setting overlooking bush and a gurgling brook. The units are modern and immaculate, pricing is very reasonable . Five of us ladies took up four units - 2 studios and two full rooms. Facilities are great. Down a drive so no traffic noise but only 5 minutes walk to the main street. Highly recommended.

Staff were friendly and super helpful with a lot of knowledge about the Thames township. Despite the look of the Lane that the motel is located, this is a beautiful quiet little hideaway. Our room was modern, well furnished, and clean. The shower had great pressure and the bedding was luxurious. Free wifi and sky and we were able to...

En-route to the Coromandel we booked into Brookby Motel in Thames. It was charming. We were greeted warmly by the lady in the office who gave us milk and let us into our unit. The sound of running water at the back of the unit was of a natural stream flowing swiftly because of recent rain (lots of!!) - very...

We are glad we took the opinions of reviewers into account and booked at this lovely motel. Presentation of the unit was lovely. A lot of thought had gone into decorating and furnishing of the unit. Thankyou for plunger coffee. The stream at the rear of the unit bubbles along, very soothing as you lie there in the night with...

A very nice and tidy motel with super friendly staff, in a quiet location. The room we stayed in wasn't huge but had everything we needed, including all the cutlery etc. It felt like the owners had tried their best to make the stay as nice as possible. Definitely one of the best motels I've stayed in NZ.
