We chose this as an easy drive from Auckland Airport as we did not want to stay in Auckland and wanted somewhere to base ourselves for a visit to the Coromandel area. The motel is well situated on the road out of Thames. It is simply furnished with everything you need for an overnight stay or longer. The kitchen has...

We had two nights at the Coastal motor lodge and recommend it for anyone looking for a nice and wellfunctioning base for excursions in the surroundings. We did the Windows walk at Karangahake Gorge. Very nice walk indeed. There were several options but we didn't have the time for the other ones. In the 19th century the area was center...

Very nice motel wit unique layout. Rooms are nice, with sufficient kitchen area. Bed was compfy. Room close to the street was a bit noicy, but didn't spoil our stay. WiFi was kind of slow and broke down several times. Wash mashine only worked with cold water, unless we missunderstood it. Staff was very friendly. Location of the motel is...

Great communication advising an upgrade had been made available. Close to Thames, comfortable beds but the bonus was the cleanliness of the rooms. We were able to relax and take in the amazing coastal views.

My family stayed for one night at this motor lodge and enjoyed the space, cleanliness, modern facilities and amenities provided. There was plenty to see and do around this accommodation and we will definitely return next time or encourage our friends to stay here.

The chalet was very spacious with separate bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, all very clean. The beds were good, but the sofa had seen better days and the springs were long gone. Various notices told you how to behave and reminded me of YHA hostels where I used to stay in my younger days. There was a problem with the toilet...

Large apartment with plenty of seating good kitchenette and small kitchen table. Surrounded by trees and lots of bird life. Parking for car underneath the apartment. 5 mins drive to centre of Thames...

Booked online while travelling in NZ; manager very helpful, gave us small discount for 3 nights and chalet/room nearest the entrance with attractive sea view - road runs nearby so a bit noisy, but not (for us) a problem. Close to Thames, for shops and a few middling restaurants. Chalet very pleasant, clean, well supplied (mini-kitchen + crockery); high windows...

This motel is on the main road that runs from Thames along the coast. It's easy to find and there's loads of space to park. Checking in is very simple and everyone is very friendly. The room space is divided into a bed area, a seating area with TV and a kitchenette. There's a bathroom as well. It's spacious and...

Hi Sherryl Thank you for your feedback. The rooms with the partition are my favourite, gives that little bit of privacy you do not normally get in a studio room. I hope we get to see you again one day. Thank you Kerry

The rooms here are very basic but comfortable and have a kitchenette. The sitting room in the bedroom has a great view and good internet service. We drove here from the airport in about hour and a half.
