Was hoping for a camp site with sea views but it was not meant to be. Situated a couple of hundred meters from the beach. Have to leave the camp ground and walk along the road down to the surf club/ car park. The beach looks wild and don't think it's safe to swim esp kids. The camp ground itself...

The owners were so lovely and helpful. Showers needed a bit of a tidy up but other than that good place to stay. Nice kitchen and help yourself to the veggies they are growing on site. We only stayed 1 night

Friendly staff - provided us with another site when we asked to change due to group partying with beer and music in front of their cabin which obviously started hours ago - nothing I need the kids to take part in. The location near beach and playground is convenient, although nothing else around worth going in walking distance. The holiday...

Wanted a cheap base for an overnight stay in whanganui. Got a cabin, they only had one left so it slept 5 but was only $85 so a bargain. The cabin was a bit tired looking, but the sheets were very well laundered, clean and fresh which is always my main concern. Cabin had a main room, en-suite and another...

We stayed one night on a non powered camping site. Easy check in and plenty of space for us to camp. Great location, 2 minute walk to the beach. 5-10minute drive to main town. Plenty of cooking space, though you do need to rent cooking equipment if you do not have your own...this can be done for a small refundable...

Near the beach, but thought facilities were poor - shower block floors were quite dirty, didn't use them. Does have wifi access. Only stayed one night, wouldn't recommend. I've stayed at other parks that were far better.

We were in a caravan with many other around us.far too expensive for the site and the lights not going on in the lounge until 7pm made for an unpleasant get together. Needs a major makeover. staff were amazing. Also having to pay extra for BBQ,spa & sauna.

Very friendly greeting on arrival. The room was small but very clean and inviting. The showers were great. Hot water and pressure was good. Other cabins below looked really cute. I would stay here again.

Musty tiny cabin. Smelt like smoke. Stains on carpet. Well overdue a make over that was needed 20 years ago. $75 is way over priced for the rickety bunk bed and poor facilities. Ps the photo of the playground is not part of the complex!

Variety of cabins, powered lots and unpowered camping spots, great shower and laundry faciliites, bbq area, spa and sauna, small kids plunge pool, kitchen and food preparation area, lounge. Cabin are sparse yet clean and open, comfortable beds and adequate blankets. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, castlecliff beach is about 150 metres away, beautiful windswept wild Whanganui coast.
