Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband. Friendly, efficient service from the first phone call. Rooms are clean, well equipped and have everything you could want. Lovely view out to sea and of the mountains to the side of the complex. Great location - easy walk into town. The footpath and the road are very close to the...

Family holiday with our 3 kids 6, 4 & 2. Extremely clean and tidy. The owners / staff were very friendly and nothing was a hassle to accommodate our family providing a pull out bed. Lovely 2 bedroom unit with bedrooms upstairs and views of the beach across the road and mountains across the bay. Great little playground right across...

This was the best place we stayed in while in New Zealand. Like a little Chalet :) Very nice staff. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Kaikoura. It was great having two different levels, and the views were great.

We chose this motel because of the reviews and the fact that we wanted to do the Peninsula Walkway. It turns out that if you do the long walk round trip from Fyffe Quay, this motel is right on the walk. When we checked in, we were greeted by Keith and given an upgrade from the standard studio room, we...

We recently stayed in Kaikoura as part of our 15 day family holiday in NZ. I am urges to write reviews on all places we stayed as some were not what they said. The Anchor Inn at Kaikoura was perfect and the best place we stayed! Great people managing it and exceptionally clean, roomy and home away from home. Thank...

We stayed for two nights and it just wasn't long enough. Beautiful accommodation, impeccably clean and such lovely managers, we felt so welcome. The room was big, very handy kitchen and the bath was amazing. A stunning part of the world with views of the water from our room. We loved staying here and will hopefully be back again. Free...

Kaikoura is a favourite of ours and Anchor Inn is the place we have chosen to stay on many occasions. The location is great, close enough to walk to town or our favourite restaurant "The Green Dolphin" - see review - and easy distance to take the walk up over the hill to South Bay over Dempseys Track. The hosts...

I had previously stayed here with a group in Feb 2013, so knew it was a nice place to stop for the night. The hostess was ever so friendly and the room and view excellent. Would love to stay longer next time.

We stayed here for just 1 night in July this year as part of self-drive tour through New Zealand. The room was one of the best we'd had on our honeymoon, comfiest bed and best bath! We had a beach-front room and the view was just out of this world! I must say the hospitality is what made the place...

This was our second stay at The Anchor Inn and it was as good as the last. The location is great - right on the waterfront in Kaikoura - and the rooms are spacious and nicely done. The owners are delightfully friendly and welcoming and care about every guest like you are old friends. We use Kaikoura as an overnight...
