There was nothing particularly special about the stay. The rooms were fine, there were ants in the kitchen but also bug spray, the breakfast was ok. The furnishing was a little unusual (red and black fake upholstery) and there were more beds than I really needed, but overall it was just fine.

We stayed four nights and upon check out was not offered a how was your visit or thank you for picking us. When we asked for more towels the women exclaimed how many showers do we need. We had to use our own toilet paper when we ran out as they wouldn't give any until our service. A couple who... More

I'd rate the owners of this very nice motel as the most unfriendly and customer averse people I've ever had the misfortune to come across in the motel industry, definitely not family friendly. Example when I asked for more towels the lady owner barked "How many showers do you people have!" My granddaughter was told there's a limit of one... More

The motel is directly across the road from the hospital, making it the perfect choice for those attending courses or visiting patients. The downside is that it is situated on a main road and so noise can be an issue for the road-side units (especially unit 20). If you are staying more for touring & holiday purposes, the location is... More

Location: convenient for me, as I work right across the road at the hospital and had to stay a night while work was being done at my house. Hastings being Hastings there's not much choice for good food nearby but you do have Hell's pizza, Burger King, KFC and a couple of gas stations within a short walk. Check in:... More

We stayed at this location for a friends wedding over Labour Weekend 2015. We didn't know the Hawke's Bay area very well so were happy to find out how central but quiet this accommodation was. With lots of eateries and supermarkets only a 10 minute walk away. The kitchen was fully equipped and modern and the spa bath was lovely.... More

This is a newish motel with great attention to detail and as far as I noticed has everything you might want. We stayed in an executive room that had a bit of extra space, including a very nice leather couch, table with two chairs, desk and chair etc. Decent sized wardrobe. Large TV with lots of channels, DVD player etc... More

We had a 3 night stay for my mum's 70th birthday. Our room was beautiful and the decor outstanding, I liked that the curtains blocked out the motel and streets lights at night, we especially loved the spa bath. Towels were changed daily and we were asked if we wanted clean linen. Our room was at the back so was... More

We spent 2 nights at the Omahu Motor Lodge and it was great. The beds were really comfortable the mattresses were soft/medium. Feather pillows. The room was spacious and very clean with kitchen facilities; microwave; hotplates. Mmmm plunger coffee if you wanted to make yourself one. We were at the rear of the complex and so there was no issue... More

“Room 19 Fantastic comfortable Queen bed, there was roadside noise especially noisy Fri and Sat with boy racer cars but OK even for me who is very sensitive to noise but more importantly well sound proofed for other noise, I did not hear anything at all through the walls from adjoining units, lovely big shower with great pressure and we had sun late in the day so room was nice and warm when we got in. Good adequate kitchen even though we did not use it. Only negative if you need to access Wifi in room 19 it was very bad in this room in the 5 days I very seldom could stay on for more than a few minutes at a time, neither day or night !!!! unless I was outside then no problem, but when doors and curtains shut and inside practically impossible and frustrating. Did pass this on to owner when leaving.”
