Detailed Reviews
We initially booked for 3 adults & 2 kids the day before arriving and snapped up a yurt which had unexpectedly become available. Rob & Gemma however kindly scrambled another yurt for us as they recognised it would've been a tight squeeze for all of us (family + au pair).
We had a fantastic stay, with plenty to do both on site and around locally for the children (3 & 5). The food prepared fresh on site was fantastic, especially the poached eggs laid on site by their rescue chickens!
Everything was very clean, and much less busy than your usual campsite. This was great particularly for the kids as they could make friends, but didn't have to wait to use the trampoline or floats.
Cannot recommend enough, and will be bringing my own family there!

We had 3 wonderful nights at camping D’Artagnan glamping in the impressive 5* emperor bell tent ‘Anita’. It felt really private and we had all amenities we could need during our stay. The bed is so comfy and the views of the countryside are breathtaking. The sky at night is the blackest/stariest I’ve ever seen which is so amazing to gaze at when enjoying an evening hot tub dip. Rob and Gemma have made our stay making us feel so welcome - a home from home experience. They are the most kindest souls who really go above and beyond. 10/10 hosts who clearly are so passionate about what they do and should be so proud at what they have achieved in their short time of owning the site. The on-site pub ‘The Boars head’ is such a bonus and the food is delicious with a wide choice of beverages also to chose from. The site has clean shower facilities and a pool and so many other lovely little personal touches to make it a unique holiday experience to remember.

What a fantastic find. We stayed on one of the three dog friendly touring pitches which were all a good size and had plenty of shade. Gemma and Rob are wonderfully welcoming, and we were so grateful for their suggestion that we visit Marsiac during the Jazz Festival. Would definitely recommend eating on site at the Boars Head - garlic prawns and then hubby had the Fish & Chips and I had a Greek Meze (okay its not French but both meals were excellent and good value for money). Lovely little swimming pool to cool off in - just wish we could have stayed long - but its certainly a site we will return to.

On our way back from a great week at camping d’Artagnan in our VW camper. Such a lovely welcome from Rob and Gemma on arrival. Great site the bell tents are amazing to give you the extra luxury. So peaceful and quiet with all the amenities you need including a pool. Rob and Gemma will point you in the right direction if you need anything with their knowledge of the local area. The Boars Head Pub on the site serves outstanding food and wines/spirits/beers having the cosy and friendly atmosphere. Even though we didn’t have the good weather we hoped for we still had a memorable and amazing and relaxing holiday. Just what we needed. Thank you guys and the kids and hopefully see you all again soon

We stayed there overnight in one of their fully equipped luxury bell tent as we had a party to attend nearby.
It turned out to be a most excellent stay, the bell tent was tastefully decorated, the bed was sooooo comfortable and made for a most excellent night sleep.
The campsite itself is located in glorious countryside surroundings, very peaceful and quiet, loads of stars to be gazed at, and had all the expecting amenities, selling local products, drinks and assorted essentials. There is even a bar on site although we didn't have time to try it.
A most recommended site, whether for an overnight stay or a longer vacation.
Ps : and the hosts who have recently taken over the site are a lovely, helpful English couple that went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed.

This is a fantastic site, located in a beautiful part of France with excellent hosts. This was our favourite site out of 20 we stayed this summer therefore required us to write a review. They even cook food for you, and to say it is better than high end restaurants.. Rob & Gemma are seriously talented.. they have their own herb garden, and ingredients all locally sourced. Nothing is too much trouble, and as this is a new site it will be booked up all year round once this Covid ends so we highly recommend getting in there for your next trip to France. We will be back, and then back again some more. Oh we are missing it loads now writing this review :)

Beautiful campsite, fabulous pitches and tents in a quiet campsite and rural location. Close to some international places to visit such as Nogaro race track,Circuit Paul Armagnac and Lupiac, home of Dartagnon.
Facilities are spotless and really friendly, warm welcoming owners. 100% a place to keep returning too or as a stop over. It’s safe for all ages and has all key amenities on site including a pub for campsite and locals. Site setup encourages meeting other campers. We had a great time and made some good friends and some cute furry ones!
Has hot tubs, pool, BBQ, fire pit and so much more. Kids have a range of toys and equipment to play on and with, and super safe. We stayed for best part of two weeks and loved it. We are an active family and there was so much to do. Gemma and Rob have thought of everything and if you need anything they encourage campers to ask. They go out of their way for their customers to create a truly amazing glamping holiday.
This is glamping and so much more. Would recommend to anyone of any age. Has everything!

Wow, what can we say! Absolutely stunning place with equally stunning hosts. It's a newly renovated site in a most picturesque part of France, so tranquil yet close enough to some lovely villages and activities. Gemma & Rob were exceptional hosts who brightened up every day and ensured that our stay was one of the best we've had. We've never been to a site that cook for their guests, and what food it was.. simply stunning. Many ingredients from their own grounds and if not it was locally sourced. Thank you, we can't wait to return again & again!

Camping D’Artagnan is our favourite campsite in France! It’s so natural, you feel like you’re a million miles away from everywhere-completely surrounded by nature with stunning views yet less than 10minutes drive/20 minute cycle from the lovely village of Aignan. And there’s so much to do in the local area, that should you want to escape the tranquility of the campsite, there’s heaps to do to keep the whole family happy.
Gemma and Rob; the owners, are the best hosts. So attentive and friendly with excellent knowledge of the local area.
The campsite is so natural with beautiful trees, large pond and teaming with wildlife yet the addition of a pool with the most stunning view and the sun deck perfect for evening drinks and a place to watch the sunset. We went for one night and stayed a week!
We were in our campervan and the facilities are spotless. For those glamping, they’re in for an even bigger treat. Especially in the largest bell tent with a hot tub! Pure luxury!
We can’t wait to go back soon!

Just wow! My fiancé and I stayed at Camping d’Artagnan mid august and it was the best part of our whole French summer trip. We stayed in the gorgeous Anita tent and I would highly recommend- they thought of everything! The hosts and owners Gemma & Rob couldn’t have been more helpful. We had our own private area with private hot tub, all the essentials, espresso machine, multiple plug sockets, a kitchenette (fully equipped) a bbq , table and chairs... everything. We had a sofa and gorgeous furnishings in our room, as well as the most comfortable bed. If you think camping isn’t for you I promise this is. I’m the evening we sat with a bottle of wine from the bar in the hot tub- the sky was clear and we watched shooting stars. A serious pinch me moment.
Would recommend to anyone, but if you’re looking for something special and a really memorable experience this is for you. 😍
