Wonderful old pub, open fire and excellent Sunday lunch, good portions and all freshly cooked.. The lamb was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch, will certainly try at other times.

I'm struggling to be objective here. So let's go chronological and see how we go. First off there is no parking, other than a local council area. That's not bad by any means, and a lot cheaper, than your normal overnight council run car park. Anyway, we got to Wargrave just after 4pm, and Jayne was an absolute star, she... More

This pub is situated in the heart of a pretty riverside village. It looks and feels hundreds of years old. A very traditional English experience. It is tastefully decorated inside with old books, arty decoration and pretty wild flowers which all adds to the cosy and welcoming ambience. It's very welcoming in the winter as it has a large open... More

A typical English pub in the centre of Wargrave Berkshire. Traditional beers and well cooked English Sunday lunch menus in the traditional style with some fashionable additions like calamari. Lunch was plentiful with proper Yorkshire, roast potatoes and three vegetables and a choice of beef pork or lamb cooked just as it would be at home in the old days.

We had lunch at the restaurant and it was amazing. My dad was head chef there about 8 years ago. It was great to see Jayne again. The portion sizes of the meals were good. Staff were friendly too. Definitely going to try Jaynes Sunday roast soon.

Clean enough room, if a little tired décor wise. Everything worked, love the higgledy piggledy nature of the building where nothing is at 90 degrees to anything else. I have stayed before and would again, very friendly landlady and staff. Breakfast is as good as you'll get anywhere with plenty of choice, the normal cereals and fresh strawberries and cream,... A beautiful Sunday lunch to cheer up a grey winter's day, Jayne and her team always go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant visit. Great roast beef and roast pork, very generous portions and lovely homemade crumble to finish. We have been here several times and the welcome and ambience always first class.I would recommend The Bull without hesitation.
