If you are peace lover and don't like much rush, avoid the rann utsav. This is mid budget resort providing all inclusive foods and stay. There are limited mud house, tents and family room. Need to book online prior to visit during season. Food is also just like home. 4-5 items on breakfast. Gujarati food in lunch and kathiawadi menu... More

“A resort owned and operated by the indigenous people of the Hodka village”, we needed no further persuasion to zero in on this place for our one night stay during our trip to Kutch. Located just off the highway leading to White Rann, it is a peaceful resort with nothing to distract from the absolute all-pervading calm of an extreme... More

Stayed here when I was on a bike trip to Kutch. Happened to come across this place and couldn't resist checking in as this place is so beautiful!!!. The resort is simply built and you get to stay in mud huts or tents but don't be fooled into thinking that there is nothing great here. The tents and the mud... More

I wonder why this doesn’t come up as ‘places to stay in Kutch’, because it actually is much closer than many others that do come up! The place appears to be a bit out of the way, but is quite self-contained – they probably had a few local families living nearby, and had their own kitchen garden and a few... More

This place is very near the Great Rann of Kutch. Preferred staying here rather than the tent city which I found very crowded. This is a perfect place to stay -away from the crowd yet close enough to the Rann. It is maintained by the village community. Place is neat and clean. Food is good. However do not expect a... More

This is a UNDP project and an awesome experience! The place is maintained by the nearby residents of Hodka village, which means that it is an authentic experience clubbed with a sustainable cause. We met the local owner who runs a couple of more enterprises, connecting the village to the world. Another benefit of the resort is that since it... More

Impressively well-managed by the local community, Sham E Sarhad is an example of how to keep up traditional charm and craft. The bhungas are beautifully done up, the food is tasty and the ambience delightful.

6 of us (3 couples) stayed for one night during our trip to Kachchh. We chose this hotel because of its ownership and management by 13 local villages. It turned out to be superb beyond all expectation. The architecture is fabulous, the bedrooms superb, the dining area open to the outside and the meals made by the local families were... More
