We planned carefully as we wanted a beachfront location, most in palm cove are across a road to the beach, (also fine if that's what you want). The destination, having stayed in the Cairns, Port Douglas area on many past occasions it must be said Palm cove with its supervised beach great walks and facilities not to mention proximity to...

We rented a top floor 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the main pool and were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately they are set over 2 levels which added to the up and down thing. I counted from the carpark to our living area was 60 stairs!!! I know that keeps you fit but I think that's pushing the walk up principle a bit....

My husband and I spent a few nights at the Alamanda during our honeymoon the first week in January and we wish we had stayed much longer. The property is beautiful with three pools (one of which is adults only) and a long stretch of beach access. Knowing it was our honeymoon, the hotel generously upgraded us to a larger...

We had the pleasure of enjoying a family holiday at the Alamanda located right on the beachfront of Palm Cove. Palm Cove is an idyllic location if you are looking to relax and recharge (which we were!). It made an incredible difference to be able to walk straight from the resort onto the beach - without even having to cross...

This is our 7th visit to The Alamanda. We've stayed in both privately owned apartments here as well as under the previous owners when it was known as The Angsana. Nothing has changed much in the 10 years or so that we've been visiting, other than some improvements in the service and the addition of a gym, which frankly isn't...

Overall, a fantastic stay in Palm Cove. The staff at the Alamanda is wonderful and helpful. Upon check-in you receive your choice of fresh juice, water, beer or champagne before the staff escorts you to your room. They also in help you arrange transfers to and from the airport, and book and excursions or tours during your stay in Palm...

A trip for my husband's birthday from Switzerland to Australia.( booked through TUI). The hotel is not so new, but the room cleanness is ok(can be improved a little bit). The service is great and friendly. It's worthy to the paid price.

Perfect for our family of 5 the 3 br ground floor suite was exactly what we needed. With an eye on the pool from the terrace when kids are in it and PS4 games room right underneath everyone was happy there. You can find about 20 restaurants within 10 mins walk and supermarkets are a mere 3 minutes drive (or...

The location is great - right on the beach at the end of the strip. Outside the place looks lush and tropical. Staff are friendly. Stayed in a 2 bed ocean front. Here's the catch...The rooms need a renovation! They are dated and in some cases poorly maintained (e.g. Window covers). The bathrooms are a particular disappointment for this class...

Dear Familygdl, Our apologies that we did not provide you with the stay you were hoping for. As stated in earlier replies we are doing a refurbishment in February on numerous items within the suites to freshen up the fell of the rooms (including blinds, shower heads, etc). I do hope we get the opportunity to provide you with a...

We got married at the Alamanda chapel at the resort! With a group of ~40 guests we enjoyed a small family holiday/Christmas and wedding at the resort! The Hotel was perfect for the families and friends joining us. 3 pools big family rooms. Staff really helped us out in arrangements for a self catered BBQ Christmas dinner with our families....
