Stayed in a deluxe ocean front room for a week in Jan. Rooms are quite tired and in need of an upgrade especially bathroom. Location great but room and bathroom (miniature) way too small. Had the worst ever chicken schnitzel at the hotel restaurant on the Tuesday night. While Coogee was a great place to stay, weather was perfect and...

The room was fantastic, and the staff warm and organised. It's in a great location, a stones throw from the beach, and has a great view. The pool is quite small though and the pool side food options were very average - $15 for a cold cling wrapped sandwich and even more for some soggy calamari. Apart from that a...

This was our third time staying at the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach for a short weekend away from home. We had pre booked and paid for our room which was advertised as a 2pm check in - we were about 5 mins early and were told our room wasn't ready - we ended up waiting until 2.15pm but were given...

The Crowne Plaza at Coogee maintains the quality of the IHG chain. Of hotels with very comfortable beds, nice pillows and towels and very clean rooms. The best part of this hotel though is the stunning views over Coogee beach, just 1 minutes walk from the hotel. Added to this is the many restaurants and drinking spots situated in close...

Stayed for 4 nights in an ocean view room, it was certainly worth the upgrade cost to pay for the view and a balcony. Overall, I would rate this Hotel as very average. The room was ok, nothing more nothing less. The beds were on casters and as the night went on tended to slide away from the headboard causing...

After booking a disaster air b&b, I was able to book into the Crowne Plaza that day for 4 nights over New Year. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you want to be right on the beach and surrounded by a lot of bars and restaurants. Our room was on the 2 floor...

We celebrated our 30th anniversary with Coogee Crown Plaza last year & the staff were So gorgeous. Really didn't expect a fuss as we just live the other side of Sydney & wanted a getaway. We were upgraded to an amazing room unexpectedly but much appreciated. Today we have just reurned from a one night stay with them for hubby's...

Excellent sized room, with two double beds, bath and shower. Hotel has a good sized pool and very comfortable sun loungers. Well positioned within walking distance of bars and restaurants but far enough away from main street to be quiet at night. All staff except for the initial receptionist were kind and helpful. (I arrived after a 24 hour journey...

We arrived here on Christmas Eve, staying for four nights. Be sure to ask for a room on a high floor overlooking the ocean, as we did. There were three of us in this room, which was spacious enough, and the views from the balcony were fantastic. Seeing people celebrating Christmas on Coogee beach was something else! We had booked...

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
