We are locals and ate dinner in The Mountain Heritage restaurant. We did not stay in accommodation. I eat out a lot, and I was really surprised and delighted by the food, the ambiance, and the service here. I had the caramelised pork, followed by crepes suzettes - both were excellent. The pork was as tender as marshmallow and had...

I wasn't really looking forward to this little trip that much, after having spoken to a rather frosty receptionist. I want a warm welcome when I call a hotel! This was a very long way from warm! However, when we actually arrived..... the frosty one had thawed out a lot, maybe she just had a bad day and maybe to...

I generally don't expect much from the restaurant at a hotel, but the food and service at the Jamison Views Restaurant was some of the best I've ever experienced. The scallops or the ravioli were excellent choices in the entree, the main HAD to be the pork, though my eye fillet was delicious, too. Think you've had a sticky date...

Highly recommend the Mountain Heritage for those seeking a few nights away in a lovely old style hotel. The dinners were fantastic and the buffet breakfast was more than ample. Service in the restaurant and reception was great and Valley View room was very good. Free wifi was fast, only complaint was needing to get new access every few hours.

I took my family and another family to The Mountain Heritage Hotel and Spa Retreat for a weekend in the mountains at the beginning of Autumn (Fall). When we entered the reception area we felt as though we were stepping into an era early last Century. The views across the mountain range are stunning, the furnishings are warm and inviting,...

Dear JH Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your very positive review. We are delighted you hear you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We did upgrade your friends from a Heritage View Room to a Premier Suite, and we were not aware you were traveling together, otherwise we would have tried to do the...

To the owners, I am disgusted in the treatment of paying guests at your establishment. The staff are extremely rude and have obviously been in their jobs too long, as even a smile was not achievable. We stayed last month & the receptionist, Molly, had absolutely no customer service & was slamming things down on the bench. The food was...

Locationwise, it is good. Ten minutes walk to the town center. 8 minutes drive to the Wentworth Falls. 2 minutes drive to Leura. The hotel stands on the top of a little hill, which guarantees a good view over the Blue Mountains. However, the hotel is old. Both the room and the toilet facilities. Air conditioning made big noises over...

Dear Serene C Thank you for your review. We are indeed an historic guest house, now 109 years old, with a great location providing a panoramic view over the Jamison Valley, and well located to the villages of Katoomba and Leura. I apologise for the lack of connectivity for your Apple Phones, I am at a loss to explain how...

Today I had to speak to Reception about a Booking.com query, my feedback to the hotel is as follows (because I cannot email this directly, my email bounces back): I'm sorry to say this but I'm not so sure you can say you have "friendly" staff. The woman I spoke to today when I had some queries about a booking...

My wife and I completely enjoyed our time hear. We upgraded to a corner room with the best view and we are glad we did so. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We had dinner at the restaurant the night we arrived and fell in love with the carmalized pork plate. Would highly recommended staying here if you are...

We try and stay here each time we take a short break in the mountains and it never disappoints. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a days walking or to just spend a rainy day with a good book in the historic lounge room.
